OMG, bad dogs! (Although as a story...pretty funny) I didn't know they could smell food through sealed cans, wow. Ours have been getting into some dry cow manure we have tied under a tarp in the back yard (for DH's pottery firing) lately, but we can't really be too surprised about that. Still not nice to find on the doorstep, though!
You definitely sound like you're getting close! I'll be very surprised if you go super late with all those good signs happening already. 32 pounds is great--that's what I gained and all but the last 10 pounds was gone in a week. (Let's not discuss that last ten pounds...) You are doing such a good job of taking care of yourself and that baby. Keep it up...not much longer! AND OMG YAY FOR GBS NEG!! Such a relief, right? One less thing to worry about.
Sorry, but the story about the dogs cracked me upWhen our horse shoer comes and trims the horses hooves our dogs take a break from eating horse poop and drag up the cut hooves and leave them on the front porch. At least when they eat poo they don't bring it up here. But I don't have indoor dogs so I don't have to deal with the mess of it coming out the other end
Poor kitty, that had to suck for her!
Yeah for a great appointment. You are getting so close now, I'm so jealous, but definitely not looking forward to the hips spreading out and LO getting all cozy in the birth canal yet.
I'm trying really hard to balance my excitement over the good signs I'm getting with my desire to keep myself from getting my hopes up. So far it's working. I'm not toooo worried about the poundage. I figure I'll easily drop 15 at birth, another 5-10 over the following 2 weeks, and the rest will come off eventually. I can't wait to get back on my bike!! Izzy and I are going to work out a system starting in January so that we both get to ride one way (10 miles) everyday. I love love love riding in the "winter" in the southwest.
I think my boss finally hired my replacement! Now I've got two weeks tops to train the dude. That should be interesting.
My hips feel a lot better today! Little lady is kicking up a storm right now. I can't wait to nibble on these little feet that have been torturing my ribs!!!
Glad your hips are feeling better and yay for having a replacement lined up at work! That makes things less stressful for everyone.
Don't worry about the weight, that is a fine amount to gain during a pregnancy, especially if you are not carrying a lot of excess weight (like moi!) to begin wi![]()

Today, Izzy and I are attending an infant CPR class. We're also going to look at sewing machines while we're out! It's the second anniversary of our "bar wedding" today. We don't make a big deal out of it but since we likely won't be able to get out to dinner much in the foreseeable future, we're going out tonight. I won a gift certificate to a local French place. Too bad I can't drink some good French wine!
I started an EPO regimen last night. I was on the fence about using it but after reading the post about cervical scar tissue I feel that the benefits far outweigh the negatives. I found it to be a little smelly (don't know how some couples use it as lube!) but it didn't leak. Maybe it's just certain brands that are a little smelly? My birth center recommends 1500 mg per day. I have 1000 mg gel caps so I plan to insert one vaginally every night and take one orally every other day.
Again, love the pics!
