Uhh, huh! Right across the street from Baptist! I drive by it on my way to OB appts and when the "HOT NOW" sign is lit it is soooo tempting!Oh and I know RIGHT where that Krispy Kreme is that you're talking about.
To me, it is HOT here today. Upper 70s and sunny. Normally this is perfect weather, but at this point in my pregnancy it spells sweat and cankles! I tried sitting out on the patio to do my Bible study and get some sun, but I only lasted 30 minutes before retreating to the shade of our table and umbrella.
I broke out the maternity gauchos today I know they are so over and they make me look as big as a barn, but you know what? They are breezy and they don't constrict my belly at all so I will just waddle my fat preggo self all over in them since that makes me happy!
Had some good BH yesterday and even some crampiness last night that kept me from sleeping. Of course, it doesn't take much to keep me from sleeping right now between potty trips, all the effort involved in rolling over, and having to blow my nose Still, progress is being made
When pregnant you definately have to do function over fashion. Your belly is picture perfect & I hope those stretch marks stay away.
Cindy, you are so right! Especially when pregnancy meets heat! My ego can't handle going up to maternity XL which is what it would take to circumnavigate this belly. Besides, why bother? I am down to days and I SAH which has helped tremendously with the wardrobe department this time!
Last night at Bible study I was blown away by how many BH I was having! Things were very active! If it wasn't Sarah Cate sticking out her feet then it was my uterus clamping down on her! I looked down during a few of them and was surprised to see my belly had actually changed shape. It was more squared off - if that makes sense - than rounded, then it would go back to rounded. Cool.
Today has been a glorious day It's going to hit 80, but that's fine with me. Bring on spring! DH took some comp time this morning and was able to say home until 3. He worked on planting our tomatoes while Emma Claire and I played on her swingset and then I broke out her water table. Oh. My. Goodness. The girl loves this thing even more this year than she did last. We haven't bought her a swimsuit yet so she was absolutely soaked but had a blast! Put her down for a nap after lunch and then went for a walk (read: waddle) on the trail in our neighborhood since DH was still home.
I just had a feeling that I really needed to walk today especially after all of the activity last night. In my 30 min walk I counted 9 BH contrax. I know it doesn't mean much other than I'm approaching my EDD (duh!), but I was surprised that such light activity would generate so much activity in my uterus.
I don't know if it's wishful thinking or maternal intuition, but I just have a feeling that things are happening *soon*. I have a feeling that I either won't need my OB appt on Friday or that I'll go, but will be in active labor when I do and it will be little more than a cervical check and strict instructions to get over to L&D quickly. Of course, I was just certain I was going to have DD early, too so...
I was sleeping just fine and had a charley horse in my leg, rolled over to attempt to get out of bed to work it out, felt a gush which I thought was urine leaking but felt a little different somehow. Got up to pee and work my cramp out, felt another gush, got to the potty and there was light pinkish watery mess in my underwear (and on my new bathmat).
Scared as I wanted Sarah Cate to have this protective cushion. Don't want them to put me on CFM or start pushing Pit or anything else. OB on call said there's no reason to rush in since I'm not having contrax yet although I think I am. Had a "gas pain" at 4:55...and I feel like I have to poop. Should I poop or is it the urge to push?? EEK!
Still having little spurts of fluid. So much for my overnight maxi pads. Need to go get on hands and knees to get her anterior.
Please, please, God protect this baby and help Brian and I to make wise choices on her behalf. Please have a wonderful NCB-friendly nurse waiting for us. Please, please, please.
Dont' be afraid to ask for a NCB friendly nurse! I made the mistake of keeping a nurse I KNEW was an interventionist just because I knew her and she was excited to be my nurse.
Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great.

Don't normally post to lodges, but wanted to wish you some ELV and a wonderful NCB.
