You will love cloth! There is so much to choose from too. I was suprised how many new things have come out in just the past few years even.

You will LOVE cloth diapers, there is just something about a tiny fluffy bumBest wishes with the insurance, it can be terrible!!
I'm not experienced with cloth but from what I've read you really don't have to worry much about washing out BF poops in the toilet. Later with solids I guess you do dump out and rinse whatever you can into the toilet. But then again you are SUPPOSED to do that with disposables, too--it's illegal to put human waste in the garbage. (Show me one person who has ever actually followed that, though...)
Sorry for popping in here late. Sounds like the first labor experience was less-than-ideal- but I think a lot of us ladies are here because of what we learned the first go-round.
Makes me a little happy to hear you were a little bit sicker this pregnancy and you're having a girl (sorry if I take joy in your temporary misery. I've been a bit sicker this time around and I really hope that means I'm having a girl
Sorry about the insurance mess- insurance is pretty much the bane of my existence.
I don't think it's illegal as in criminally prosecutable, but yes, it's against WHO regulations, and disposable diaper packages all supposedly say to dump them out or to remove the inner liner with the waste and flush it. I don't have any diaper packages here to confirm this, but that's what they say.
Back to the lodge...echoing PP with hoping you get everything sorted out! That kind of extra stress is just the worst.
I've been busy at work, life, etc....
I think insurance is getting fixed...let's hope!
So far I've gotten some GMD organic yellow prefolds, 5 thirstie duo 1's, wetbags, and some flips...I need to get enough for DS, who isn't willing to go all the way with potty training.
I'm excited. I'm making some wipes, and I'm actually renting some KL0 from a diaper shop online. This way when we outgrow them, I can get half of my money back and get some more???? prefolds, flips...I'm not sure?
It was really hot here today, like 93 degrees and my feet were a little swollen. I don't think I swelled at all with DS...I think it started when I took my first graders to recess in the 93 degree heat
I drank a lot of water/green tea with mint so hopefully that will help.
My next midwife's appt isn't until the 3rd. So I'm still at 2 week appt's until 38 weeks. Then come the one week ones.
