You look amazing, Jules. Stunning!
I think your plan is a good one-- I'm in no position to argue when laboring, either.....
Thanks you guys....
Uggh, well I am awake at 12.00pm with another load of contractions...I am getting pretty bored of this . With my other pregnancies I had Braxton Hicks which weren't a real problem. This time I have the whole back discomfort and pain radiating down my thighs thing going on, usually for several hours at a time. Sucks - especially as Twin A is still pretty high and isn't in my pelvis so I doubt that it is actually doing anything constructive.
My midwife thinks that it is something to do with a hyperextended uterus which needs a bit of practice to actually get going for real as it is so stretched. I dunno? Just damn uncomfortable to me at the moment! Hoping that it will let up soon so I can get back to sleep....
I have just remembered the other thing I was going to type!
I have turned into a complete hermit over the last couple of weeks....there seems to be an imaginary line through my town that I cannot pass as it is "too far" from home even with other people around. I am a pretty social person but all I want to do is stay at home, my children (and myself) have total cabin fever! I am spending a lot of time with the doors open and have filled up the paddling pool on the deck for the girls and that keeps them occupied for large portions of the day. Yesterday I did the groceries (don't you just love dragging children (and food) in and out of supermarkets when pregnant?) and filled the car up with petrol, but beyond that I don't want to travel any further.
A major case in point, we have ONE car seat for the babies which is currently in the attic....my friend is lending us another infant capsule for six months for the other baby. Have I been able to drive the few miles outside my comfort zone to collect it? Nope. My aim was to have both car seats fitted by this weekend as I will be 37 weeks....I might send DH to pick it up in the morning instead? Otherwise I can totally see myself having these babies and being stuck in hospital as they will not let you leave without an approved car seat (for each child). Right, that's my goal now....car seats will be fitted this weekend - I've typed this down and will post it so that I have to get this sorted!
I say, send DH for the carseat.
I'm sorry about all the awful early contractions.
I'm just now catching up with your lodge. Sorry I'm a couple days late, but it has been absolutely wonderful reading through your "story". I'm so amazed by the difference in your two birth stories.
I remember the "twins" thread on the March board.
I'm really hoping for a wonderful hospital birth for you. It is wonderful that your babes are both head down. When my nieces were born, twin B was still breech until her sister came out and she literally followed her sister's feet with her head - flipping completely while twin A came out. She was born only 6 min after her sister. Sorry, that was random, just my memories Anyway, since your babes are both head down already, I'm sure there is less worry going into the birth.
Yeah....so I will be stalking ypu from here on out. Just sayin'.....
Stalking this lodge now! You look awesome. I'm definitely bigger than you, and only carrying one.
BTW, nursing while TTC is apparently associated with a 9X increased chance of twins.
I agree, send dh for the seat. I am sorry about the contractions though. That has to stink.

That was great to hear about your nieces. I was told by one of the midwives that the position of the second twin isn't that important providing that A is head down. Once the first is out the way there is enough room for B to "walk out" (her words) and they quite often spin to follow their sibling.....6 minutes between babies sounds good to me!
