Ugg... 3 hours of sleep. That can definitely be brutal. Once the babies arrive you might not get huge stretches of uninterrupted sleep, but I bet you'll be able to crash comfortably! No belly to maneuver, no pregnancy aches and pains, you can lie in whatever position you want.

Three hours of sleep is awful when you are not baking babies, it so sucks when you are (and I can imagine it is compounded when there is 2). I sure hope you can get some sleep before the babies come.

Yay, 6.5 hours sleep last night - makes all the difference!!! I actually have some energy today and can maybe a be productive member of the family

The plan is to go grocery shopping this morning with the girls (hopefully that will kill a couple of hours!) and then come back here for Lottie's sleep and find something fun and entertaining to do for the afternoon. Looking at the pile of washing currently on our dining room table waiting to go away, it may have something to do with that .

It's funny but although I have no energy AT ALL, I cannot bear the house to be too untidy....a mild form of nesting I guess? Mild because I have not been doing that much about it myself! I guess I am very fortunate that the local health board have put in 2.5 hours of home help for these last couple of weeks which is really helping me out. However, it is really surprising at how much the cleaner manages to get done in 2.5 hours. You'd think that the whole house would be finished but nope, she works really hard but it doesn't cover everything. However, it really helps to have someone clean my bath, showers and toilets and change the beds....anything else she manages to do is a bonus!! No wonder that the house isn't spotless when I have two children to care for as well during the day.

I am thinking that I am not going into labour in the next few days....just don't have that feeling KWIM? The contractions have reduced from the beginning of the week and I have just got into a pattern of surviving each day with a plan - I seem to just have a routine now. I had my diary out yesterday and was telling DH about what I was getting up to over the next week, he pointed out that I had not mentioned at any point *have babies*. I'm just not feeling it....and they seem pretty comfy in there, even if I'm not!

Yay for sleep! It makes a world of difference when you're growing a human...or two.

I'm so jealous that you have hired help! I would KILL to be able to hire someone to clean my house right now. Especially since my mom is totally befuddled by how you would clean with baking soda and vinegar. I do think you need to lower your expectations a little though....you're soon going to have four little hellions destroying your house, not just two. A friend of mine said it best..."I've quit aiming for clean and tidy. I now make due with somewhat sanitary."

Oh, and I feel ya on not feelin' it. I think that helps with expectations too. If you're not expecting to go into labour at any moment, you don't get so disappointed when you're still pregnant the next day.

Oh, don't get me wrong...my expectations aren't high . My aim is to be able to find some clothes in the morning without rummaging through a pile about 1 metre high (no kidding), be able to have enough clean mugs to make myself a cup of tea and have food in the house to keep little people from whining

My motto (which I *stole* from a fridge magnet but was to cheap to purchase ) is: "clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy" - I have written it in BIG letters and placed it on the fridge. DH's the neat freak around here so as far as I am concerned, he can get the house to his standard if he likes (which amazingly doesn't get done!!). Not denying that it isn't great to have someone coming in to help at the moment because I hadn't done those jobs for weeks!!
