She's beautiful! Both my boys had small mouths and the LC's at the hospital told me 2 things - use the football hold, and cup your breast in a C or U hold to make it easier for baby to latch wide.

Congratulations!! She is adorable! I'm glad to hear Hawkes is doing so well with her (I know that was my biggest concern when I had my second). TFS Pictures!

Drake, I love the pictures. She looks so beautiful.

I'm glad Hawkes is loving his little sister!

Hope you get the latch figured out. I agree with the football hold, I had good luck that way with Andrea because I could bring her in better, etc.

Congrats again! For the latch issues I know they tell you not to do this, but my babies had small mouths too, and I had to use the scissors hold to make my breast skinny enough to fit far enough in and get a good latch.

Sorry I have been MIA. We ended up in the hospital after going to the ER Saturday night. We we only got home Monday afternoon. Saturday we noticed Libby's cry sounded really strange and like she could not catch her breath. So we took her in. Weended up being transfered to the pediatric unit in the next town over and were under observation till Monday morning. It turns out she has a congenital birth defect where her epiglotis is not fully hardened so it makes it harder for her to breath. She will grow out of, but we just have to be more careful on how we hold her and she cannot be on her back flat much. Also she is on reflux medication since her esophagus was swollen and making it harder for her to breath. The good news is it is a mild case, she had no apnea episodes in the hospital, and the meds are helping. Luckily my parents are in town so they watched Hawkes, but he did not do so well with us leaving him and he was worried about his sister. We are all just trying to settle back into life now.
