Baby fluff day! Woohoo!
Most of the newborn diapers we ordered came today. We cloth diaper DS, but didn't switch over until he was 4 months old, plus we gave away most of the small diapers to some friends anyway. So we didn't have any newborn stuff. We bought a few (like 6) newborn AIO's and pockets in January, but that definitely wouldn't be enough! Here's what came today:
That's 2 dozen prefolds, 2 fitteds, 3 covers, and 50 wipes, plus some wipes solution. We've been using sposie wipes with DS, but I'd like to try switching over especially now that we'll have two kids using them. The plan is that once the baby outgrows the prefolds, those will become doublers for use in pocket diapers.
We also got out Ian's splash pool today, and he had a blast! It was 90 degrees here and horribly muggy, so it was nice to be able to splash in the cool water.
woohoo for fluff and water fun. sounds like you are getting ready.

Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have rubbed off some of the originality.
what a great story of you and your husband. I am so sorry for the loss of your father, that must be very tough.
You look great! i hope you get the midwife you want at your birth. sorry your appt's are so far away that would be slightly annoying. Hope you are finding lots of time to relax and get ready for baby!

It's been a good weekend so far.
I swear my DH is nesting too. We got the landscaping done (well, we hired some people to get the landscaping done) and he cleaned out the gutters and replaced the thermostat. He also insisted we buy hedge trimmers and pruning shears so he can trim the plants we didn't replace and take care of the weeds by Ian's playhouse. And he's touching up the paint on the outside of the house.
I went to a couple of garage sales and found some great clothes too! Ian didn't have nearly enough short-sleeved outfits, so I got him several shirts and onesies. And one lady had a bunch of neutral 0-3m stuff because they didn't find out the gender ahead of time either. So I picked up quite a few cute little outfits. I figure at 25 cents each, it's no big loss if we only use some of them anyway. I also picked up a couple of cheap crib sheets, which we're definitely going to need since we currently have a crib and a toddler bed set up for Ian (still not transitioned) and a second crib for the new baby.
Here are some before shots with the landscaping:
And after we got rid of the big ugly stump, the old rocks & bricks, and put in new plants:
We were kind of surprised at how small the plants started, so I'm glad we got this done now and they'll have 2-3 years to grow bigger before we sell the house.

Looks good, Kim! Sounds like you've had a busy weekend. Landscaping is such a chore, but makes a huge difference. You're right to get it finished now so things can mature before you list the house. My advice, make sure you trim your new plantings this fall and again in late spring. Our last house was new construction and I absolutely butchered our shrubs and it only made them grow more!
The house looks good Kim! I think it's funny dh is "nesting" too, only they do outdoor things. Also, YAY on the garage sale finds. Hot weather makes for cranky babies. Short sleeve outfits are a must.
Glad you're doing well!
