don't apologize for writing too much, that's what your lodge is for!!
I hope you have a nice relaxing 4th and that it doesn't rain on you, unless you want it to.

It is absolutely great to hear about your family and how well you are doing with this pregnancy! Not too much longer

My older son has Asperger syndrome - also not physically delayed (except for coordination - yikes) but he has many issues. It is so neat to hear you also refer to your other children as "typical" because that is what I do!! My older DS may not be "typical," but he is exactly as he was meant to be. In fact, I swear that some of his issues actually help him when he climbs on the bicycle to race - he is totally focused, much more so than many others his age.

Karen, thank you for sharing about your older son . Its wonderful the niche he has found in bicycle racing. I hope he continues to excell in that.

I had my OB appointment tonite, quite boring but I guess that is a good thing , urine and bp are fine. He was not overly concerned with the swelling of my ankles. Suggested lying down to relieve the swelling, I found that amusing as it is not a realistic solution unless dh is home.

We had a nice 4th of July, we watched the Macy's fireworks it really was impressive and the kids had a good time.

Sorry I'm a little late, you sounds like a very strong woman. Your children are lucky to have you for a mother. Your posts are great, it is a fun look into your life.

Glad you are feeling OK! Don't you love those docs - put your feet up LOL easier said than done!

My midwife did suggest pushing lots and lots of water and protein to help keep swelling at bay, so that's what I'm attempting to do. Swimming is also supposed to be good (if you have access to that). I have had nasty swelling with all 3 pregnancies but never any pre-e or BP problems or anything like that.

Hope you are still feeling well and thinking of you!

I'm starting to feel like I have nothing ready for this baby. I have all the "stuff", but nothing is put together meaning the cradle, stroller, the car seat is still in the box, nothing is washed....etc...

Part of me feels like I have plenty of time as all my other births were pretty much on/around their due date, but the neurotic part of me worries that this one could be an early one (of course if I'm sitting here still pg in August we can all have a good chuckle ).

My Mom is taking the girls next weekend while ds will be back at his school, so I'm hoping I'll get what I want done then. I just hate being so nutty and not together. This nesting thing is a real riot

Physically I'm starting to get uncomfortable, it took me so long to walk around the corner, my leg just felt like it could come out of its socket by my hip, it was horrible. But on the bright side, I was walking back from my haircut, I figured I should get it cut now and have that out of the way before I give birth.

SOrry it has taken me so long to respond... Welcome to your lodge. Not too much longer, but I know that each night goes by so slow when you are in pain and swelling.

Good luck with getting everything done next weekend and maybe some extra relaxation too!!

Ha! I envy your smart decision. I was going to get mine cut on the day that became Peyton's birthday and now my hair is a shaggy mess! I also desperately needed a pedicure (4% humidity is not good for keeping pretty, soft feet)--I listed these two personal care appointments as the first two reasons I couldn't possibly give birth--haha. It's the little things.

A belated welcome to your lodge (I am a bit behind). It seems you have an active and full family life! Hope you will soon feel you have the 'stuff' prepared for the birth *hugs* I am thinking of you

Audra, hope all goes well. I certainly understand how uncomfortable it gets at the end. Big hugs!

I hope you get a lot done over the weekend when the girls are off cavorting with their grandma. How fun that will be for them, and hopefully you will both relax and get some baby things together.
