August '09 Spaces

Just thought I would start an August Spaces post since we are getting our BFP's in now Smile Take your place ladies!

Spaces are reserved for pictures of our growing bellies, ultrasound photos, and nursery shots.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE POSTING!

* This is a NO COMMENTS thread. Please post your newest belly pictures to the general threads for comments.

* Reserve your "space" once you get your BFP and edit it each time you post a new picture. DO NOT create a new post for each new picture you are posting. Make a post ONE TIME and then EDIT it each time you'd like to add new pictures. Do this by clicking the "edit" button in the bottom right hand corner of YOUR post.

* Because this is already a picture heavy thread, please turn off your signatures. You can do this by unchecking the "Show your signature" button before your hit submit to post your message.

* Most importantly, POST PICTURES! We want to see those growing bumps and beautiful babies!

The OPK's that got me here
Photobucket

Got my BFP today November 23, 2008 at 13DPO.

Belly Pics!

December 10, 2008 - Got weighed in, checked (yep I am pregnant!), recieved paper work, wastold to get blood work done.
December 30, 2008 - Got weighed in, checked because of some yellowish discharge (everything is fine, he said everything is growing right on track. Next appointment I will get an ultrasound and hear the heartbeat!
January 20, 2009- We have a heartbeat (172)!!!! we also had out first ultrasound and everything is measuring perfectly!!! What a major relief.
February 17th - Everything looks great, go back in 4 weeks and IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!
March 17th - Everything looks great, gained 10 punds!!! Go back in 4 weeks
April 15 - Everything looks great, gained 4 pounds (much better), I have to get my glucose test before my next appointment.
May 12 - I passed my diabetes tests - everything looks great! I am at the same weight at 30 weeks as I was my son. Go back in 4 weeks for my ultrasound.
May 15th - Had some bleeding and cramping did an ultrasound everything looks fine. My cervix is soft but could have been that way the entire time. Come back next week to check for any change.
May 20 - No change so that's a relief - go back in a week.
May 27 - Everything is still the same but the dr. still wants to see me everyweek. He assums I will go early again.
June 3 - No change everything looks great
June 9- ultrasound shows a healthy big baby boy. They estimate him to weigh 4.6
June 16- 1/2 cm. dilated got the strep test - now I am nervous I will go too early!
June 22 - 1 cm. hangin in there.
June 29 - 2 cm. dialated and 70% - dr. says to hold out for another week or two and we will be fine. SCARY!!!
July 6 - Still 2 cm and 70% - I mentioned to the dr. that some days I don't feel LO move as much so I had a NST and he didn't move at all. He said that he is not too concerned because his heartrate was consistant the entire time and that he is probably just running out of room.
July 9 - Another NST baby moved a little bit more this time and had the hiccups too! Heartrate was still good.
July 15 - no change NST was ok
July 20- 2 cm. and 80% effaced NST showed very low movement
July 22- No change NST was great this time. Dr. can't believe I haven't had him yet. Get induced on the 27th unless he comes on his own before that.

DH Scott and I have been married almost 5.5 years. We tryed for 3 years before we got our first miracle, and look at him now.
Then:

Now:

This time it only took us 2 years and here is baby's first picture!!

We found out she's a girl at 16 weeks, and it was confirmed at 20.

Here she is at 20 weeks!

we had another u/s done at 24 weeks, however they weren't very good. she is doing well, and still a girl. She weighs all of 1 pound 11 ounces and is in the 66th percentile of fetuses her age. I have another appt on Thursday and then on the 30th we get to have another u/s so they can take a look at her heart.

I met my DH in 2003 & we got married in 2006. We decided to wait to TTC until my last semester of college, then a cruise bumped the date out even further (they are strict on how far along you can be), but finally in June 2008, we decided to give it a go. Finally on our 6th cycle (and ironically right after the crusie we'd bumped TTC'ing for), we got our beautfiul BFP! It is so surreal, and I honestly won't believe it until I see our baby. Stick bean stick!

ABOUT ME:
Hi, I am Jennie. My DH is Todd. He is wonderful and we have a very happy marriage. I have no children of my own, he has two daughters from a previous marriage that live with us (he has primary custody). They are 13 and 7. I have problems with my cycles, as I don't ovulate on my own. I went on depo when I was 17 until I was 24 (I was getting ready to marry my 1st husband - which didn't last very long). When I stopped getting my shot, it took 18 months to get AF back and when it came back it came every 14 days. It stayed like that for 6 more months until I finally went to the dr. The dr put me on bc pills to regulate my cycle and they did. 28 days like clock work. She suggested I try to go off of bc pills to see if my cycle would stay regular. Nope, 14 days or 40+ days, i was all over the place and not ovulating. The dr recommended clomid and stated I may have difficulty ever getting preg, but I did not want to ttc actively again until I was married (DH and I were engaged at the time), we made a choice to not take medicine (clomid) but not to try to prevent a preg until our wedding day. We ended up accidently getting preg in May of 2007. It was a wonderful surprise. However, at our 8 week appointment, no hb. I had a d&c at 9 weeks on June 26th. We were devastated. The dr made have on AF on my own, then go on bc for 3 months before ttc again. We were married in Oct 2008 and we started clomid. First cycle I did 50 mg on cd 5-9 = BFN (no positive HPT), second cycle I increased the dosage to 100mg on cd 3-7 and we got our BFP!

IMPORTANT DAYS:
5/15/08 = 1st BFP
5/27/08 = 1st dr appointment
6/17/08 = 2nd dr appointment, no hb
6/23/08 = D&C

10/8/08 = 1st cycle of clomid,50mg on cd 5-9
10/21/08 = DH & I were married in cancun
11/9/08 = 2nd cycle of clomid, 100mg on cd 3-7
11/24/08 & 11/25/08 = Pos HPT and temp spike - I finally o'd!
11/29/08 = 2nd temp spike
Dec 8th, 2008 = BFP!!!Yahoo

Jan 14th, 2009 = 1st Appointment. U/S and HB Yahoo
Feb 28th, 2009 = U/S at private place. HB 150. Measured 16 weeks. It's a GIRL!
March 13th, 2009 = 3rd Appoinment. Everything OK. HB 152.

EDD = 8/16/09

THIS PREGNANCY:
No m/s
No sore bb's - I DO now, and they are huge (3/15/09)
Had mood swings early, but stable now
Sleepless nights (I wake up from 1st potty break and can't get back to sleep) - Better now, I can sleep easily (3/15/09).
Frequent urination
Gas
Pimples (Not too bad, but a few every now and then)
My bump came early and is bigger than last time! I am terribly uncomfortable in my clothes. (Bump is definitely noticeable 3/15/09)
Just starting to feel fatigued (could be lack of sleep)
We are not telling anyone until after a good 1st appointment & I am trying to put off buying maternaty clothes until after I know everything is OK. (1st appointment went well and now I am in maternity clothes and thinking of going up another size)
I am scared to death of what work is going to say. I am expected to get a promotion on Jan 15th. (I got my promotion. I told work at the end of Feb. and everything is OK.)

I'm a nursing student (graduating in May with my RN), and starting in January, I'll be taking my OB/Peds class so I'll be learning lots about pregnancy while being pregnant!
I have one son Dominic, born 9/7/06, and he is wonderful Smile In August of 08 he was diagnosed with Autism. He sees a therapist twice a week and we work with him very intensely with his language and social skills. He doesn't talk or interact with other people/kids. He can sign for "more" and helps me sign "cat" and "dog". We are looking into getting him an autism dog (like dogs for the blind, comes with medical papers and everything), but it's a long process, and he isn't eligible to receive one until he is 5.
My DH is Rob, and he works full time as a security supervisor for the Bayer Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA. He is also in school full time, going for a history major. He does most of the work with Dominic as I am way too busy with nursing school.

I married my high school sweetheart July 26 2003. We have 2 furbabies (cats) Java and Kona and 5 fishbabies.

We decided in 2008 it was time to start a family and had my first BFP in Sept. It lasted a few glorious weeks until I found out it was a blighted ovum.

After a few more months of trying, I had another BFP on Jan 4 2009.

DUE DATE: AUGUST 31st, 2009

Got my BFP on Christmas Eve, 2008!!

I met my wonderful and amazing husband in the year 2000, and we married in June, 2003. After a long and difficult struggle trying to conceive (many fertility treatments & 2-1/2 years later), we were finally blessed with a PERFECT baby boy, Christopher!! He is the light of our lives!!

In November, 2008, my husband and I decided to "try again", knowing how it could take us some time to finally concieve. Boy were we surprised when it happened the first month!! This was an amazing Christmas present!!

More to come soon……..

I'm 31, BF is 32. I've been married and am divorced, and so is he. He has two sweet children from his previous marriage, who live with their mum and stepdad most of the time (but with us sometimes, too). We have two furbabies- Sebastian (bunny) and Jean-Paul (cat).

I've had two miscarriages; most recent was in September at 7.5 weeks. The biggest issue I'm having with this pregnancy is making peace with it and my eating disorder together- I've been dealing with anorexia for about 15 years. I'm trying really hard (and have lots of help and support in the way of doctors and nutritionists, etc.) and my bloodwork is ok, so I'm optimistic. I'm able to eat healthily enough- it's just the anguish that comes along with that, and the upcoming weight gain, that's giving me the trouble.

I'm an arts writer, and I have my own photography business. I also used to be a professional burlesque dancer (technically still part of the troupe, but haven't performed for more than a year). My other hobbies include crafty stuff (sewing, knitting, embroidery, etc. etc. etc.), snowboarding, ballet, traveling, and reading.

So far, symptoms are m/s (more like morning/noon/night sickness) and round ligament pain, which I wasn't expecting so soon!

BF and I were thinking it was a girl, but then changed our minds to boy. Found out at the March 16 ultrasound that it's a BOY!

Jan. 26- Heart the heartbeat! Very strong at 156 bpm. Yay! Smile

Feb. 4- First ultrasound! Bean was waving his/her arms and moving around everywhere. Everything looked great!

March 16- It's a boy! He's measuring small, but very healthy. Yay!

March 28- 3D ultrasound. So amazing!

~~~PREGNANCY TIMELINE~~~
10/26/08: First day of last mentrual period.
11/14/08: Estimated Ovulation Day
11/22/08: Holy Cow! We finally did it! Dollar Store test has a very faint second line... and digital test says "PREGNANT"!!! Just 8 days after ovulation (5 days before my missed period!)
11/28/08: Lab Visit; HCG Levels at 16 DPO (4.3 Weeks): 279
12/01/08: Lab Visit; HCG Levels at 22 DPO (5.2 Weeks): 2,064
12/17/08: Our first OB appointment and ultrasound! We started with the ultrasound, I was trembling all the way down the hall to the sonogram room! Andrew attended this appointment, and was also eager to see that first image of baby (and hoping that baby was in there)! We started with the abdominal ultrasound, and were able to see the embryo immediately. We also caught a glimpse of the heartbeat... it was flickering away at 133 beats per minute! The Ultrasound Technician also performed a transvaginal ultrasound (talk about uncomfortable!)... but all the awkwardness was gone when we saw an even more crisp image of the little baby and beating heart. Although our appointment was at 7w3d, baby actually measured at 6w5d. With the flick of a switch, we were able to hear the heartbeat - how amazing! I had tears in my eyes! Here's baby's first picture;
12/25/08: Made visit to Urgent Care, had some unusual discharge (no blood). Bloodwork done to measure HCG. HCG results are 80,676. No infection found. Yes, I'm a little overbearing... just want to make sure everything is still okay!
12/27/08: Made follow-up visit to Urgent Care for additional HCG test. HCG rose to 86,666. Looks great, definitely rising!
01/12/09: We had another ultrasound this time, baby was wiggling around every time the Tech would poke or prod at my uterus. It was so neat to see the baby move, makes it feel so much more real! We also got to hear the heartbeat through the Doppler, this time it was 172bpm (very strong!). The Dr. did notice that we have a low-lying anterior placenta, but wasn't concerned since it's so early and typically will correct itself as the uterus grows. We were referred to a Perinatologist (high-risk pregnancy Doctor), to evaluate my cervix for incompetence. If it's necessary, they may perform a cerclage procedure to stitch together the opening of my cervix to ensure it will be able to hold the weight of the growing baby througout the pregnancy. In the initial evaluation with my regular OB, he noted that my cervix has some weakness, but still shows a good thickness. The Specialist will determine if we need any further procedures.
01/23/09: Met with Perinatologist that OB referred us to. Had an amazing 45-minute ultrasound, saw the baby kick and stretch, touch it's toes, ears, and face. I was in tears, it was the most amazing experience. I was so upset that Andrew couldn't be there, but the Ultrasound Tech was wonderful and created a CD for him, with several pictures and short videos of the baby. We will cherish it forever! The next step was a visit with the actual Perinatologist (Dr. Pedron). He was great, the visit with him last more than an hour. He explained that my cervix was measuring at 2.96cm instead of the average 4.5-5.0cm. He said we are at risk for cervical incompetence, which could cause us to lose the baby anytime after 16 weeks. I was devastated. He mentioned an elective cerclage was an option, but that it's an awfully traumatic procedure and he rarely recommended it. He sensed the anxiety in my voice, and got on the phone with a colleague immediately. He explained to the other Doctor that he wanted him to give a second opinion as to whether or not the cerclage is necessary. My appointment with the other specialist was scheduled for the next business day.
01/26/09: Met with the second specialist, who happened to work in the Maternal & Fetal Medicine division of St. Joseph's hospital. This Doctor reviewed our history and did a quick cervical exam, and immediately recommended the cerclage. He said the odds were better if we have the surgery before 14 weeks of pregnancy, and that would mean that we needed it done by the end of the week. He said that with all of the previous procedures to my cervix, it was almost necessary. He was confident that it would give us the healthy successful pregnancy we desperately wanted. He scheduled the procedure for that following Wednesday, at St. Joseph's hospital.
01/28/09: Its surgery day and I am a nervous wreck! Went in at 11:00, they started the IV and administered a double-dose of antibiotics. I waited around until 1:30, and was wheeled back into the OR. I received a "spinal anesthetic", in which the Anesthesiologist inserted a needle into my spine and gave me medicine to numb me from the waist down. I was so nervous, that I felt my heart-rate increase rapidly. She also gave me a sedative to calm me down. I was paralyzed below the belly button, and couldn't open my eyes, but could hear and understand everything that was happening. I had my feet up in stirrups that hung from the ceiling, and had 4 Doctors, 2 Nurses, and a Scrub Tech in full view of my goods. The procedure lasted less than an hour, and the Doctor said it went well. He said he was glad we did it; the cervix was thinner than he thought. He said I would have bleeding and cramps for about a week, but would feel no discomfort thereafter. He mentioned that I did have a few stretch marks and urethral damage because my pelvis was so small. They did an immediate ultrasound, and the baby was moving around like a squirmy-worm! I felt better already. I was wheeled back to recovery, and remember shaking uncontrollably. I was scared because I couldn't move my legs, and couldn't stay warm enough. I started to have immense cramping - so unbearable that I was nauseous and in tears. The Nurse gave me 2 Percocet and 3 Motrin, and the cramping subsided after about a half hour. I slept for a few hours, and finally got up to pee. It didn't work the first few times... as my body was still partially numb. But, third times a charm... I peed and peed and peed! I went back to the bed, and had a few crackers and juice, and took one more nap. After I woke up from that, I was officially discharged and sent home to finish healing!
01/28/09: It's two days after surgery, and I am extremely concerned because I am leaking a pink/yellow fluid every time I move or adjust in bed. I am worried that it might be amniotic fluid, and call each of my Doctors for advice. They all tell me to go back to the hospital. I had my Mother-in-Law take me back, and luckily one of the Doctors from surgery was on duty. She looked at my fluid discharge under a microscope, and determined it was not amniotic fluid. She did a pelvic exam to see where it was coming from, and noticed that my cervix was engorged and likely just leaking from all of the swelling. She did an ultrasound; baby was perfect - wiggling around with a good heart beat. I was so happy everything was okay! I stayed in bed through for 4 more days just to make sure it had a chance to heal well.
I had a sneaking suspicion I was pregnant so I woke up on New Year's Day and took an HPT and got a BFP! My DH ran to the store for more tests and they all came out POSITIVE!! We just got married and are so excited about our first child!
First dr appt on 1/21/09, but think I'm about 7 weeks. No M/S yet (knock on wood) and feeling good. Will post pics soon. Yeah!!
Finding out on New Year's Eve that we were pregnant was a bit of a shock to the system but it hasn't taken us long to get excited! Me and my fiance are currently house hunting (hoping to get a furbaby too!) and hoping that everything goes to plan!
Our newest blessing ...
20w3d
24w4d
Next Appointment...Tuesday, August 25th, NST if I go over.
8/20...3 cm dilated, 60% effaced, Baby's heart rate 150
8/13...2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, baby's heart rate 140,
8/6...No internal this week. Baby's heart rate is up around 150
8/3...Woke up with swollen feet and had lots of CM more like "globs" not all day though. Thinking this could be the start of losing the mucous plug. Had same next too.
7/30...36 Week Appt. First internal stats: 1+ dilated and 50% effaced. Baby's heart rate:
7/16...34 Week Appt. Not much new to report. Baby's heart rate was sitting a bit lower at 140. He/she wasn't very active at the time so that could be the reason for it being lower than it normally has been. My BP was good and other than that not much else to report! Next appt. is at 36 weeks where they do the Group B Strep test and the first internal! I can't believe we're in the home stretch and the baby could come at any time!! :eek:
7/1...32 Week Appt. Baby's heart rate is around 155-160 and my BP was good. I gained the least amount of weight I have all pregnancy... 1/2 lb!!!!!!!! Experiencing more BH then I did with Emily; Dr. said this is typical of 2nd pregnancies.
6/18...30 Week Appt. Baby's heart rate was around 160 and my BP was a tad higher than my norm, but no worries. Baby is pretty active. I am carrying like a basketball as opposed to the football shape I carried with Emily. Basketball shape may mean boy, yet the heart rate being higher could point toward another girl, we'll see which of the old wives tales prevails!
6/2...28 Week Appt. and Glucose Test..I PASSED!! All is going well, baby's heart rate is still around 150. Two week visits begin!!!
4/9...20 Week Ultrasound/OB Visit
Got to see our little one and he/she is healthy; we couldn't be happier!
3/20..OB Visit
Doing good! Baby's HR is still hanging around 150.
2/19...OB Visit
Everything went well. Baby's heartrate is at 150.
