Haha! Beat you to the punch!
I can't believe you already have a lodge Bobbie. I still remember seeing your pregnancy announcement! Holy jeepers times flies.
Whoo hoo! Yay Bobbie!
OMG! OMG! OMG!!! I just lit up when I saw this!!! You girls are so cool! Thank you!
I'm so excited to finally have a lodge. I thought I'd never get here! I think I have a looooooooooong 4 weeks ahead of me, so I hope y'all are ready to hear me whine. LOL!
Gosh, where do I even start? Well, I'm 30 and have been married to a really nice guy for 6 years now. We have one DS, Nate, and another little boy on the way (obviously LOL!). I teach Chemistry at our local community college and love every minute of it! DH was an accountant and then decided last year that he hated it and switched to teaching. He now teaches Algebra and Geometry at a local high school and loves it. It's really nice to have so much family time now!
Hmmm, what else? I'm a native Californian. DH is Canadian. I was an exchange student attending the University of British Columbia and DH and I met at the Vancouver airport. We live in Cali now because DH hated the cold and taxes in Canada. Me, I miss Canada and all the cute little maple leaves everywhere.
We're choosing to have a homebirth this time around with a wonderful MW and a Hypnobabies Doula. It's kinda weird how this all came about. I never started out wanting a homebirth. I was fine with a hospital birth, but was told that our two local hospitals do not allow video taping. I was shocked and quite pissed off. I feel that it is my right to video tape this momentous occasion in the life of my family. So, I started looking at all of my options. Pretty much the only thing I was left with in my area was a homebirth. I was seriously not wanting to have to have a HB until I started doing some research. Boy did that open my eyes!!!!!! Now I'm very thankful for the no video taping crap-o-la because I'm excited about my HB!!!
I was also planning on doing hypnobirthing (Mongen Method), but at the last minute, the instructor told me that she wasn't sure if she could be my doula or not. That threw a wrench into the works as I needed someone who could commit, but I ended up finding the most wonderful doula through hypnobabies. DH has been really really good about hypnobabies too! I'm proud of him! He practices with me like were supposed to do and he totally gets into our classes.
Ok ok, that is enough of me blathering on. I hope to have beautiful HB photos to share with all of you in 3 weeks time.
Congrats on your lodge, Bobbie! I'm excited to see your HB pictures!
