Thanks so much for sharing your story, it was great! :D
I LOVE yall's wedding pics - yall are too, too cute! Can't wait to see your little girl! Are you guys planning on having more kids after Ava....? Or haven't thought that far ahead yet, haha?
You didn't scare me off. I am just joining the fun. What an amazing intro. And BTW I'm glad your a "Jesus fanatic" or "Jesus Freak" as we are often called. What leads you to wanting a birth the way God had intended? Or is it just that reason itself?
Thanks everyone... it was a lot getting that intro into words. But thankfully I'm a pretty wordy person - so it was FUN!
Melissa - it's funny that you ask about more kids. My parents keep telling us we need to go ahead and start planning for #2 because Ava belongs to them. I love my parents - so honest. We plan on having another child... maybe in 1.5 - 2 years if everything is looking okay. But who knows - Ava wasn't supposed to make her appearance for another 5 years
Yea.. I have NO idea what's happening anymore. Everytime I think I maybe, sort of, kind of, if you squint your eyes and turn your head to the left have it figured out - WHAM! Everything changes.
Angela... our birth choice changed drastically from what we initially set out to do. When we found out we were pregnant I was already saying ' yep, natural all the way baby!' But then I realized I only wanted to do it so I could be like those smug moms you know who say 'oh yes darling, I went natural and it was a breeze. I've had more pain getting my legs waxed.' So after I realized I just wanted bragging rights I decided screw that - epidural for me, I don't need to be a hero.
Then we took a class based off the book Birthing from Within.
Whoa... everything, and I mean EVERYTHING changed. It's amazing what information, research, and the truth can do to a persons thinking. I'm all for an intervention free natural birth. And dh is even more stoked about it.
I had my 36 week 2 day appointment on Tuesday and I gained 3 pounds... in a week. I've only gained 28 pounds total this entire pregnancy.. but the 3 pound jump coupled with my blood pressure was a little high and they found protein in my urine has me at home today doing a 24 urine collection.
Joy. But at least I get to work from home today. I couldn't imagine keeping a cooler of urine in my fridge at work. They already eat and drink what's not theirs - they'd be in for a real treat with this one
1st - I never knew how much you and I have in common! Jus and I met while I was working for our churches young adult ministry and he was our volunteer graphic artist.
2nd - No one ever has heard of Return to Oz! How has this movie not gotten around...I love it!
3rd - Your entire story had me crying...I love it! TFS
Awww thanks Jenn! I always tell my husband about you - he swears we're cut from the same cloth and must be friends IRL.
Hi Dede - how cute are you and your DH?? What a great intro! Wow, you've got quite a story. Looking forward to following your last few weeks.
