hi Erika, congratulations on your lodge. i have followed your story, starting over on the bfing board. i'm only a lurker on this board. i am an epidural chick. i needed it for all 3 births. i refuse some intervention, but not pain relief. but i wanted to wish you all the luck in the world. i was on pins and needles for you when you were having trouble finding a mw. and when you interviewed with an ob, i knew you would never be happy , even with the most lienient(sp?) ob. so good luck and i can't wait to follow your journey. it has been so exciting already. colleen

Thank you everybody!!! I hope the twins don't come for my Birthday. All I want for my birthday is to be very preggo and have my midwife in this country sitting here beside me.
Tomorrow morning we are driving the 2 hour trip to go see the second MW. Kyle has never met her and I hope he likes her - I think he will. My records have been screwed up yet again and I still don't have the perinatology report from a week ago. grrrr. Oh...and guess who FINALLY called me???
The MW from the hospital we tried going with (that sucked big time) I last saw her Oct. 14 and she was just now checking in on me. I called twice and left messages to tell her we were leaving care and never ehard. i figured I write a letter at my convience for my own closure - but hadn't gotten around to it. So I told her we were havign the twins at home and she scurried off the phone. Whatever - at least that's officially over!
The woman who is our third attendant came over for a play date yesterday. her little guy is two months older than Olivia. and she is exepecting mid December. We had tea and watched the Psalm and Goya video of unassisted twins. It was a lot of fun.
And..... I had a long heart to heart with my original MW (the woman who attend Olivia's birth) She can't won't jepordize her liscense and practice b/c of issues with state reg.s and the OB's int his community - but I invited ehr to the birth as my "photographer" or "official blanket warmer" and she is very excited. She has decided to come. She also told me that if anything happens preterm she'll walk in the door with me and do anything she can Mw, doula or otherwise so I'm never truely alone with the "no Doc" thing. That made me feel real good!
Ok, I'm off to eat more protein and get to bed early - I HATE having to wake Olivia to get on the road - she is so owly when I wake her up.......oh, more later.
hugs to you all!
