Hi everybody! I know you are all dying for details and pictures
Kyle sent you the basic stats. We made it at home. It's going to take me awhile to process everything and type up the birth story. It was a long labor and there were some challenges to say the least. My girlfriend came down last night to help me start processing b/c I was kind of in a state of post traumatic stress kind of thing. Birthing the twins at home is the hardest thing I have ever done. I would have had a c-section at the hospital without a doubt. i know this is baiting...I'm sorry.....I just can't type it all up just yet. There was no instrumentation, no episiotomy, I didn't tear (amazingly) (just a tiny skid mark), no drugs (duh) no hemmorage issues. baby B, Chloe (which I was so worried about not being rushed and medicalized) was compeltely unprovoked - she just had her own agenda The babies were absolutely perfect - we didn't even rub them or bulb syringe them b/c they came out screaming - so there were no scary baby issues. I'll get you all more soon...Again, I'm sorry - I'm just not ready to re-live it on paper and type it out right now. I don't really have labor pictures.....and I called off all video as things progressed.
Ok...pictures of the girls...... enjoy!
Oh my goodness Erika, could they be anymore beautiful - what angels!!
Wow, your babies are just beautiful! Congratulations on the twins homebirth...you are my hero(ine?)!

So how does it feel to be a mama of twins? It really hit me as I was looking at the pics. "Holy Crap, there are two brand new babies at the same time!" LOL. Kinda like how around day 2-3, dh and I looked at each other and said "Holy crap, we have three kids!"
I hope you're doing well with the adjustments, and I agree - you've helped so many through the years - definitely let us know if you need anything. And thank God for homebirth - avoiding a c-section is always a plus.
