This is the MOST unglamourus story ever! My SO and I were great friends and I had told him that I was a little worried that I hadn't started my period yet. We said nothing about it for another week or so. I took the test on a friday and it was positive...I freaked, this pregnancy was not planned at all. I had to pick him and his roommate up from their job at seven in the morning on Monday because his car wouldnt start. I was crabby cuz it was early and because I was worried about how to tell him and how he would react. When I got there I got in a huge fight with the roommate...he called me all kinds of names and wouldnt get in the car! So I left him standing there in the parking lot looking dumb. The SO didn't really know what to think or do, but we both knew the fight was my fault (although I would not admit it). He was just like "wow that was kinda messed up of you" and I snapped telling him I was stressed out and he was screaming he was stressed out too. Well I always have to win so I was like I'm more stressed out cuz I found out I am pregnent! He didn't speak to me for a week. I was so sad but when I finally did speak to him he said he was fine and he didn't call cuz he was scared to. He said he was waiting for my head to start spinning in the car that day and that he thought I needed some space...That is proof men still have no idea what women want!
I just thought I'd share. It's drama filled, just like us. LOL! I hope all yours went more smoothly then mine!

I put a bun in the oven and told him dinner was in the kitchen. He was like, "Why do I only get a bun?" DUH!

I used a HPT in the afternoon of July 2nd this year (Sunday). Hubby was at work, bro-in-law was at home with me. Result was positive. So I was shocked and kind of walked over to my BIL and showed him and said I was going to be right back.

Went to the store, got 2 more HPTs, a pacifier and a pair of new-born baby shoes. Waited till I needed to pee again - so 8:30pm that night I took the second one - positive as well. In the meantime hubby calls and Im trying to stay as neutral as just possible, just asking him to come home soon, that I got something nice put on his pillow when he comes to bed.

So I prepared a little bag for him - put the shoes in there, the pacifier, one of the positive HPTs and a card I had quickly put together with my scrapbook stuff (saying "Hi daddy! Congrats, we're having a baby!") lol.

So, at around 3am in the morning he finally comes home from work and I wake up to watch him open up the little bag. I had always told him if he ever sees little baby shoes, that Im serious in what Im telling him...so he looks at me...looks at the bag... looks at me... jumps up and hugs me all over! He was soooo happy to hear the news! Of course I got to hear about the "are you sure!?" and I told him if he wanted to I could take the 3rd HPT in front of him...and I did. Positive again. So in the middle of the night hubby starts to call everybody we know telling them we were going to be parents lol.
