Hi Karly! I've always found it a bit difficult to pump too, this time around I made sure that I had the right sized breastshields and that seemed to help a ton. Not only with nipple soreness but also being able to get more milk out. The other thing that helped was putting on warm compress' on my breasts. But your right, at the end of the day it'll all work out as it should although I understand how hard it is not to worry, even when you tell yourself not to lol *hugs*
Oh another thought ~ did you ever try things like Mothers Milk tea? That helps with let down
Thanks for the encouragement Chimmy!
I will definitely try those tips. I did try the MM tea, but I honestly think a big majority of the issue was just not being able to nurse and therefore never having a great supply. That is my hope at this point.
Today was one of those days where I feel very content to be pregnant for awhile longer. I had forgotten what a big different it makes for me to have the baby descended into my pelvis. There is still pain, but it is so much better with everything evenly dispersed, rather than his head in my left pelvis, throwing everything off balance. It would be nice to have him next weekend, but only so that I don't have to work my last scheduled week before maternity leave. Otherwise, I am very content at this point.
Yea, that can have a big affect too. My twins went on a nursing strike and there was a huge difference in my supply. Either way best of luck with that hun.
I love that content feeling, it's wonderful! I'm so glad your feeling well & that things are going well.
Ah, I see. And I can see how a difficult BFing experience with your first baby could really shake your confidence for the second baby (even if you know you did everything you could to try to make it work). Anyhow, I'll send you lots of *awesome BFing and pumping* vibes, LOL!
Glad you're feeling comfortable and content! Lucky girl, not many of us can say that at 36-odd weeks!
Isn't there a saying somewhere "contented as a cow"? Ooo boy! that might not come across in a post to a very pregnant woman.... I'm refering to milk of course, lots and lots of milk. May you have an over abundance.
Contented is a good feeling.
Content is a very good feeling
I completely understand some of your bfing worries. I am sure you will do wonderfully and you do have a great attitude about how things can turn out.
