Congrats and welcome to your lodge! Can't wait to see how it all turns out for you![]()
Traveling life's highway with my love and partner, Bruce,
and Snacky, my sunshine boy.
Sweet angels in our hearts 6/09 & 9/10. I will always carry you.
Congrats on the home stretch Kelly! I can totally relate to the birth date thing. I either have to deliver next weekend (after Thursday the 31st, my daughter is dancing at the PNE) or the 10th, 12th, 15th or 16th. LOL. Can't be the first week of school, piano, dance day, K's b-day, etc. So don't feel you are being picky, you're thinking of your other children LOL. Good luck!!
No more 15 work/5 rest cleaning days for me! OMG I paid for it. I was tired, but of course couldn't settle in until late. I didn't even keep it up all day - I'd wind up sitting after about 5-10 minutes. By 9 I just sat on the bed to fold clothes. Around 11, Dh put in Harry Potter and about half way through, I was dozing (he was already asleep), so I turned it off. Then I couldn't sleep. I felt a bit queasy, and he's getting big enough to push on my lungs even though he's pretty low in my pelvis. So I couldn't breathe well either. My feet ached and felt tight. Finally, around 1 I got up and took a warm bath and got a snack. At 2 I got back in bed, and read through my Hypnobabies manual that I finally found (the tapes are long gone, but reading through it is helpful, too - I kept forgetting to get with Kerry about getting new CDs...). I fell asleep around 3 and had to get up at 8 for church. I'd just had a 4-hour-night Thursday night, so a 5-hour-night about did me in!
So I was exhausted all day today and had lots more cleaning to do but didn't get to it. All I finished yesterday was the kitchen. Today we cleaned out the van and then had to get Aaric's stuff ready for his first day of school tomorrow.
On payday I'm heading to the health food store to pick up some wild yam root. It slows contrax/stops BHs and I really really want to keep this baby in. My midwife recommends it for BH's that are particularly annoying or frequent, and mentioned using it to slow labor until she can get here once its the real deal. I'll double check with her to see how much it will help hold the kid in until I'm ready LOL. Now I've got a shower scheduled for the 8th, so that's another date he can't come.
Congratulations on your lodge!
Congrats on your lodge Kelly!!! It's so exciting to see all the other September mommies here already! I'm getting so excited for all of us!! You've been so helpful and informative thru my pregnancy and I appreciate that!
Congratulations on your lodge. I hope baby decides to cooperate and stay in a bit for you.

I remember those nights all to well lol I hope you get some sleep tonight!
How was Aarics first day of school? And how did the mama do w/ her baby boy going off on his big adventure?
Mama to 7 curious, wild & wonderful little ones ♥
School went fine for him, and I coped well, since I was distracted by the anticipation over meeting our new doctor that i switched the kids too. He rocks. Supportive of not vaxing, supportive of stretching out/skipping well-child visits for kids not getting shots, not freaked by a homebirthed baby, I like him lots.
I was worried about the walk to and from school (10 min one way) being too hard on me, right? Well, the morning one was fine. the afternoon one at 2:15 sucked big time. Even though I took a water bottle and drank water the entire walk both ways, I think I got overheated and too tired. I came in and sat down to rest "for a few minutes" but never really recovered. I've had a dull headache all afternoon/evening with some nausea. I'm also just so tired from having to get up at 7 this AM. That's wimpy, I know... but seriously, I haven't been on an enforced schedule for 4.5 yrs now. I've gotten up when i felt like it, or when a kid woke me up, and went to bed when I got sleepy. So this is a major transition for me. I can't stress about school - I'm too busy adjusting physically!
So anyway, the last time I had a headache in the 3rd trimester, I woke up at 4am that morning with my water broken. that was at 40 weeks exactly with Aaric. Since I'm not yet 37 weeks, I really really really hope that's not what happens now!
However, I've totally decided that any time after this weekend is fine. The past few days have been rough and I've hit the "i'm sick of being pg" point.
I'm tired of peeing every 10 minutes.
I'm tired of having a bony baby beating the crap out of me (love the kid, but he hurts).
I'm tired of the ligament pain.
Its all just getting old.
aaw mama
Being pregnant is rough esp. those last few wks when you've a full grown baby in ya!
