I made it through my 13 hr day! And I was able to come home and not be snippy to my dh! I have been rather mean to him lately, especially when I am tired. The poor guy gets all my frustration.

But tomorrow should be a good day and I will be able to wrap up all the loose ends at work. I trained my replacement today and I am so glad that we clicked because now I feel better about leaving my job. I support adults with developmental disabilities in their jobs. My client and I have worked really hard over the past year at getting her job to be more valued and meaningful. She has worked at Chapters for 8 yrs and over the course of time with the change in stores and management, she went from scanning discontinued books to dusting. So we worked with the management to allow her to shelve books. I was really worried about her losing this task because of my leaving, but I feel confident in my replacement. I just don't like the thought of staff leaving and ruining her job.

The exciting thing that has happend pregnancy wise is that my belly button is getting flatter! I had a deep innie and I have been watching it disappear since Christmas. I actually wanted to get a permanent marker and draw a circle around my belly button and watch it grow! I am strangely fascinated by my belly button and I am wondering if it will pop out.

    COngrats on your lodge.
I am glad to hear I am not hte only one obsessing about my belly button.
I still haven't popped yet either and doubt I will. Apparently if you have any amount of belly fat combined wiht a deep innie you might never.
I am ok wiht that though people seem to think it is weird. Why they are looking at my belly button it beyond me but Ohh well

I am so glad your long day went well and your replacement will take good care of your clients...It would be really hard to leave these people you care about otherwise.

LOL, about your belly button...I used to be really obsessed that mine would turn into an outie...it's just completely flattened out and I can feel the muscle hole in the center. I make my mom and DH feel it all the time. They just roll their eyes at me!

Hey Melynda!! We are all so close! Glad you had a good homevisit, and that you are sooo close to being done with work. What wonderful work to be involved in, I hope your replacement will be able to maintain what you've done for your client.
    Congrats on your lodge!!

Well, I am finished work! What a surreal moment. I don't plan on going back to the same place after mat leave, so it is a very strange way to finish work. It is not like quitting at all.

But I am looking forward to taking care of me and the baby over the next couple of weeks. I have been so tired with work and everything else that I have really neglected my health. I haven't been eating very well or exercising, but this will now change! I am looking forward to walking lots and aquasize and making good meals! When I talk like this my dh gets really excited because he likes the idea of a house wife!

Congrats on your last day of work, Melynda! I still have one more week to go. How great that you are able to take this time to get back to taking care of you and baby.
