Ok, so you took off your ticker and I can't do math! But I just read your post about your alleged flipper ( ) and I got the answer I was looking for!
Welcome to your lodge sweetie! We went through the decision to home birth at the same time and I bless you that your birth experience should mirror your greatest expectations, just as mine did!!
Can't wait to hear all about your journey, and I'm so glad I was able to be the one to start this for you!

Oh Ayelet you made me cry! Thank You!
What a nice (and surreal) surprise to come and see my lodge! I still can't believe it's so close.
I joined this board when I was, oh, 7-8 weeks pregnant I'd say. It's hard to guess because I never actually formally introduced myself. I've felt bad about that ever since and I figured my lodge would be a good place to finally get that done.
My name is Sarah. I'm 25 and married to Jeremy, 27. We had Owen nearly 2 years ago (on the 28th) and got married last July. I've been a SAHM since Owen was born and only worked in retail before that. I was in school for about a year before I left that (kinda a long story) but I don't regret it because if I hadnt, I wouldn't have the wonderful family I have now. I was a music education major (hence "singfourever") and was going to be a high school choir director. I still love music and miss singing a lot but I feel that's probably going to stay in my past from now on. My biggest passion now is learning about and experiencing birth (mine or other people's. ) My goal is to become a doula in the next few months and go from there. I would love to support women through such a wonderful and sometimes trying time.
I had a very good birth with Owen. Looking back, after learning a bit more, there are definitely things I would do differently now. I was lucky and had a wonderful, fast, natural labor after induction. I had him in a hospital affiliated (although seperate) birth center with a couple wonderful nurses and an OB who just came in to catch and stitch. Which is fine. But I want to do the catching this time!
I'm so excited about the next few weeks and especially curious as to when my birth will be. I'm fully expecting to go the whole forty weeks. So unlike most of my birth board (whom are starting to talk about "getting things going" ) I don't intend to start getting ansy until my due date. Then, be prepared, I might not be so patient after that!
This place has been a wonderful support and a wealth of knowledge for me. So thank you ladies and I hope you enjoy going on this journey with me.
This is the same day we got married (taken afterwards.) We married in the mountains at a tiny, 100-year-old church with about 40 guests in attendance. It was a wonderful day.
