congratulations on getting your lodge!

Overall, I've had a healthy pregnancy. I've had a lot of aches and pains, but my little girl has always been active and all my tests have been great. I've had a few high BP scores but they've always been fine later. Thank goodness.

Today I was diagnosed with PUPPP, it itches terribly! Just another thing that doesn't endanger me or my little girl but drives me nuts.

Dave and I keep looking at each other and agreeing that we only need one child! Pregnancy has been a lot tougher that I ever expected. With about 4 weeks left, I'm starting to get to that point of "get her out of me!" The biggest thing I will miss is feeling her move. I love it when she kicks or turns. She rarely causes any pain and it is so reassuring.

I hadn't before heard of PUPPP but just googled it and it does sound awfully itchy. Can you put any type of cream on it to help? I hope t goes away quickly for you.

Sorry to hear about the PUPPP - that is truly a horrible thing to experience in late pregnancy. I got it with my first pregnancy and I wanted to rip all my skin off.

Any advice? So far, very cold showers are a nice temporary relief. Can't take those at work though!

Had an appointment today. Didn't think I was going to have an internal, but had a different MW today who likes to do them at 36W to get a baseline. I could have declined it and would have a couple weeks ago, but my determination is weakening. I itch so bad, all I can think of is "when will this be over". I keep trying to remind myself that I really will miss being pregnant and feeling her move.

Went to see MW today. Had to follow up on the meds they gave me for my PUPPP. They restated that there is not much they can do, the rashes won't go away until after baby is born!!!

They did the GBS test today and an internal. 50% effaced, 0 dilated.

BP was within normal ranges and weight actually went down since last week. That is great since they had put me on partial bedrest last week because my BP had been up and I'd gained 6 lbs in a week.

Saw a different MW this week, miss my normal MW but her schedule is really busy so it is hard to get in with her now that I have weekly appts. The MW this week suggested that I didn't need to come back next week, but I refuse to cancel the appt because it is with my regular MW and I'd love her moral support right now. Besides my normal MW wants me on weekly appts, and I still want to review my formal Birth Plan with her.
