    Thanks for asking!!

Maria is now 11 days old!! I had her weighed at 7 days and she was 3 oz. away from her birth weight, so things are going well there!!

She is bf'ing every 3 hours, on the DOT! This is her choice! She'll be sleeping and at exactly the 3 hour mark, she'll wake up, give a little wah and nurse really well.

So bf'ing is going well for her but not so much for me. I am in pain when she latches on. I saw a LC and she said that Maria has a small mouth so there's not much I can do but 'suffer' through it. I bf'd Jeena for 19 months so I know I can do this, but the pain is terrible when she starts out!

For about 9 out of the 11 nights that she's been here, she has only woken up twice in the night, so that's fine with me!!

Wow, I can't believe she's 11 days old already! I'm sorry you're still having a rough time with BFing, but hey, her mouth can only get bigger, right?

I'm glad Maria is healthy, sleeping well, and chooses to eat on a regular schedule. I think pain during latching is relatively common when BFing newborns. I hope it gets better soon for you!

So glad to hear things are going well, and I'm with the other gals I think most newborn nurseing hurts at least a little bit, and her mouth is already growing

Sorry for the painful BF, but she is doing great. In the plus side, she sleeps at night! that is awesome.

I hope the BFing is getting better, we've been dealing with the same thing here too. That's great that she's just waking twice in the night.
