Just under 3 weeks until my due date....

Sometimes I get really nervous that I won't get the birth we're planning for. DH is soooo wanting a natural waterbirth. I've already told him that I'm not committing to a water birth, but not saying no either. I'm just going to do whatever feels best. If that happens to be water, then so be it!

But I'm nervous that I'll disappoint him if I have to end up getting any pain relief at all. I know that having him on board and so supportive really will help...plus the fact that I'll not be in a hospital. But I just don't want to disappoint him.

Also, I'm getting impatient...i know, who doesn't! If you would have asked me 2 days ago when I had a bit of bloody show, I just *knew* I was going into labor that night or the next!!! Now, today, I feel it could be another 3 weeks easily! I'm excited about not knowing, but at the same time it goes against my personality of having to plan everything!!! At least I work from home so I can relax as much as possible now (which is hard b/c there's always stuff to do!)

DH will be home tomorrow and Thursday all day with me! Yay! Then he'll be off on Saturday and Sunday as well. I'm very excited we get these few days together with no work!

Well....not much to say I guess. Just wanted to type out some thoughts. At least it prevents me from overanalyzing every single little twitch or pain I feel and think I'll be going into labor right now! I'm just so excited and ready. I so hope this birth ends up being what we're hoping for!!!

It sounds like your body is getting ready. I loved laboring in the water, I wish that I could have birthed there but my hospital is not set up for that.

That's a great attitude! That's what I went in thinking too. Turns out, I loved the water and we did have a water birth. It was beautiful. Your birth will be beautiful too ...no matter how it unfolds!! Good luck!!

Thanks ladies!!! Yes, "our" photographer took them. He's wonderful...we've adopted him as our own personal photographer. He started with our wedding and has done several shoots for us since!

The pain in my back is getting to be too much at night. I seriously don't get much sleep (i know...i'm preaching to the choir) but damn....I've tried every sleep position, every pilllow, no pillow, going to be exhausted so I'll sleep. Nothing. Every hour or 2 I wake up with horrible back pain.

This morning I willed myself to stay in bed until 6:30 at least to get some rest. During the day I'm so exhausted around 3:00 that I end up taking a nap. I was fighting it b/c I felt I had so much to do, but the past 2 days I've been able to just do it and it's been an amazing nap both times!

I want him to stay in as long as possible....but it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if he wanted to surprise me a little early!

Holy crap Dusti! I'm just seeing this now! Congrats on your lodge! I can't believe your little guy is almost here!

Love the pics BTW.....VERY sexy and intimate. And DAMN! Wes knows how to take a picture! Steve always looks like a deer caught in the headlights!

Your pictures are awesome! I hear you on the back pain and the trouble sleeping. I have to switch sides at night every couple of hours, usually accompanied by a bathroom trip - no fun. Definitely nap while you can.
