Thanks for sharing your story! I'm just getting caught up on everything.

If its any relief to know, my boys are 14mos apart and share a room--it was the easiest transition. I freaked out about it, stressing over how naps would go, and bedtime, crying, etc but it went great. We also have a 2 bd house, so we waited until DS2 outgrew the bassinet and was only waking once to eat at night...about 3 mos old? Even when one wakes up throwing a fit or is sick, the other sleeps right through it.

GL and I hope your cervix starts cooperating

    Default Interesting...

So, no, I didnt have my baby last night (suprise suprise )

But I did some reading on Full Moons and it said that its common for women to go into false labor on full moon nights.

So when I started to notice my BH I decided just for fun to time them. I have never timed contrax before. But to my suprise they were a steady 7 minutes apart and lasted 1-2 minutes each!

Now, I knew I wasnt in labor because the contrax were not even close to painful. I prob wouldnt have even noticed them if I wasnt thinking about it. So after an hour or so I got bored and went to sleep LOL!

anyways, just an interesting night at our house!

I cannot WAIT for the real thing...

ETA: I am not in the teens for days left!

I didn't realize that full moons brought on false labor, I thought it was just labor-labor. It is interesting that you were having regular contrax last night - and exciting, too. Maybe those helped you open up a little? I hope so!

I really hope I have more action at next weeks appt...but I have decided not to set up too many expectations for my poor little cervix

I saw an episode of a baby story yesterday and the woman was a finger tip dilated and then the next day nearly had her baby in the car.

I need to make sure I dont find myself comparing pregnancies/labors because I think that is where I will set myself up for dissapointment.

    1) No, I am not gauranteed and early arrival
    2) No, I am not gauranteed a speedy delivery (although it IS likely, no gaurantees)
    3) No, I am not gauranteed a smaller baby (Brynn was 7lbs) as a matter of fact, I think this little one will be a much bigger baby.
    4) No, I am not gauranteed to dilate efface alot before labor.

I think that I'll print those out. I think that settingyourself up with false expectations can lead to nothing but disappointment, too. I have expected this LO to come 3 weeks early with a fast labor throughout this entire pg and know that if I keep those expectations, I will be sorely disappointed. Thanks for posting those!

You are so cute. You are right, there are no guarantees...doesn't stop us from crossing our fingers though.

Did you get cervical checks with Brynn? I never had one with Kailey because I had her before 38 weeks and they didn't check before that point. Just wondered if you dilated early with her and that's why you were thinking you might do so again.

Hope you have a great day!

At 37 weeks I was 1-2 Cm and 25% effaced..
at 38 Weeks I was 3 CM and 75% effaced

So really I am were i was last time, but no effacement...

but another thing I have to keep in mind is that these checks are in the eye of the beholder.

I wont lie...I have been 'checking' myself for a few weeks here and there (remember me: Control Freak ) and I *feel* like there has been change. Not that it really means anything.

oh the reminders of things that are just not in our hands. I think it's good that you typed those out (not only for you but the rest of us who are going to get antsy) it's interesting that your bh's became timeable last night. hmmmm i think your body is gearing up....

Have you been walking the last few days still?

I think it is just natural to compare pregnancies. I'm sure this LO will be here before you know it. How is Brynn doing?

I think anything that normally brings on labor can cause 'false' labor if your body isn't ready to birth. (dtd, castor oil, walking, etc I remember my BH got more timeable when i got close. nak
