My milk is in!!! I celebrated by breaking out the good ol pump! I pumped after she fed this morning and got 4oz!...and I could have pumped more, but wanted to leave some milk for Audrey in case she gets hungry again.
I dont plan to give her a bottle anytime soon, but its reassuring to know I have milk on hand if I need it.
Audrey had her 2 day check up yesterday and I realized my speedy delivery was pretty rough on my big girl. The Dr said that her eyes are still really swollen, she has a fractured clavical (from a suspected Nuchal Hand) and she failed her hearing test on the left side, most likely because she didnt spend very much time in the birth canal to squeeze everything out.
I am sure that she is going to be fine, but I cant help but feel sad for her with my post partum hormones.
But, she is a great baby. Nursing is going alot easier than in the begining with Brynn. Sleep is going good (knock on wood).
what a great birth story, I'm so happy for you!

I'm glad things are going well, and I'm sorry your having to deal with issues post birth. I'm sure things will work out well for her in the long run, and she sure doesn't sound unhappy with her entry into this world
Great birth story! You did great Mama!
WOW, what a great birth story! I love the pictures and the girls together are just too sweet. I am sorry for the pp issues. I am sure given a little time all will be worked out. I hope nursing continues to go well and YAY for milk!!!
