Congratulations, he is adorable! What a great story, I'm so glad that DSS was able to be there for the birth.

I love the name Leo, and I agree that it is a good reference to Reed.

Awww, he's adorable! I agree that Leo is a great name in addition to being a subtle reference to Reed.

Great story, Sarah! I've been taking Liam to the chiropractor for colic a few times now. She does the craniosacral points on his head too. He poops after every adjustment. He too has issues with his alignment from how he was positioned in the womb.

I also LOVE the name Leo. I think it is a beautiful idea to give him a name that honors his brother. That and I really like short and simple names (i.e. Zoe).

Well Friday night was my first night as mom to 2 kids under 18mo...

I had it all under control - including leftover lasagna for dinner so I didn't have to actually cook dinner, just reheat it. I was nursing baby in the living room when I heard a big crash in the kitchen... I quickly ran to the kitchen and found the lasagna on the floor (it had been on the counter) and the glass lasagna pan was shattered all over the floor... And the dog was trying to get at the glass covered lasagna, as was Ivy... And then Ivy tried climbing up a stool to the kitchen counter and I just managed to catch it before it fell over... And then she figured out how to climb onto the window sill in the living room and shimmy along the entire window until she fell off, stuck, screaming, in the curtains between the couch, wall and piano stool...

Oy! How long do I have to keep my fingers crossed for? Tonight DH was fit to be tied because Ivy kept hauling everything from the kitchen cupboards all over the livingroom and dining room while yelling at him while he was making dinner. Meanwhile, I was nursing baby... We're still trying to put the kitchen back together again... I can see why people have a play pen to keep their kids contained - but I don't know how long that would keep her before she could climb out...

My chiro recommends seeing babies just to check them over to look for any issues that may need rectifying after birth. It's not a money thing as that practice doesn't charge for a babies first visit after birth and generally they don't need more than one. I had never heard of it before either, but will take bubby in after s/he is born and see how we go. It's good to hear that it seems to have given you good results.

We have a full-sized cosleeper that we actually didn't use for sleeping (they sleep better cuddled up to me) but we did use is as a play yard for Zoe when I had to make dinner so she wouldn't hurt herself or end up under the dog's feet.

Oh my! You have a little terror monkey on your hands! I don't know if a play yard would contain such a determined child. I'm glad she and the dog are OK (I know my mutts would have had a mouthful of glassy lasagna in a split second).

All those pics are so sweet! Love the one of Indy Wonder how much he actually knew about what was happening? I think most people underestimate what animals understand!

I take it y'all are still deciding on a name?

Congrats again Sarah! He is precious! I love the name Leo and all the reasons behind too. You look amazing in the pictures taken right after he was born! So peaceful and radiant!
