(((HUGS))) hun, I'm sorry your dealing with this. This is a good little article on thrush I found for you. I've been told the violet works very well.

As far as the bleeding, I would encourage you to do just what you feel like doing and sleep as much as you can and stay home! You'll start to feel better soon, I promise![]()
How are you, Alicia? Did your bleeding stop again, and did you find out if you had thrush, and if so, were you able to get rid of it?

Sorry I haven't updated in the last couple of days... Weekends here are pretty crazy. The bleeding has stopped for the most part, it has become more on and off during the day - which is pretty niceI went out and bought a bunch of yogurt, and the antibiotics are gone, so I think the thrush has fixed itself. The white stuff is still there on my nipples - but I only see them when I'm in the shower. So I don't know if its dried milk, or yeast, or what...
Still nothing in his mouth, so that is what is making me think its gone away. The pain for the most part is gone. My nipples are kind of sore, but I think thats from overzealous pumping....
Lil man is sleeping well still.. I've been trying to transition him to sleeping on the couch during the day, rather than in my arms. Of course, I stay with him the whole time, but I know I can't let him sleep in my arms forever!
DH has become a little less supportive since going back to work... He won't hold the baby if he is crying, he will feed him and change his diaper, and then put him down somewhere. Every time lil man cries DH hands me William and says he doesn't know what to do.... Since I am taking care of the baby full time, I ask for a couple hours at night to sleep without being woken up - usually from 8 pm to midnight. Every time DH has agreed to take him, I'm woken up by a screaming baby lying in his crib (which he will not sleep in). Don't know what is going to happen once I go back to work... I don't want to not trust my husband with the baby... but it seems like he is giving me no choice. *sigh* Its a lot to deal with I guess

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling like your DH isn't being as helpful as you expect. I'm sure it's hard for him, being away from home during the day, and he feels like he is out of touch with the baby's needs. You should talk to him and let him know how you feel.
Good luck with William's sleep situation. Do you swaddle? Swaddling really helped DD sleep.

So lil man is going through a phase where he won't sleep unless I'm holding him... Makes it a pretty long and boring day...
The Bells Palsy is still there... its been 5 weeks now. I only have another week, and then I have to start physical therapy for itI really hope this goes away soon... Its starting to wear on my psyche again. I was ok with it for a few weeks there, but now I'm over it again. I wish there was something I could do to make it go away, but its just a waiting game... *sigh*

OMG! He is going to be a month old on Monday! Why does it take like 8 years to be pregnant, and then you blink your eyes and time flies? I am going tomorrow to get his first professional pictures done.. I really hope they turn out cute.
I think we finally figured out what his belly problem was, he wasn't digesting the regular formula very well. Since hes been on the soy, hes like his old self. Happy as a clamWhich makes momma a happy lady!
Last night was a rough night... I finally had to leave him sleeping in bed with DH and sleep on the couch because I needed to get some sleep. It was only 4 hours, but beggars can't be choosers...

Alicia, time flies fast because then we forget how hard the first few mos are and want to have another one! LOL!
Hey, count your total hours of sleep per day. Nap when he naps. Just try to get at least 8 a day if you can. 4 in a row is awesome for having a four week old! Trust me, it will get better.
I found that both my babies wanted to be held while sleeping but then I found the miracle blankets with my youngest. Those things are miracles! I also read the book Happiest baby on the block which is essentially about how to swaddle and do a few other things (gentle) to help baby sleep. AWESOME! So wish I had read that with first dd. If I were you, I would order 2 miracle blankets pronto and the book and you will have him sleeping better by the end of the week. It is true! Also, if you have a sling or pouch, just wear him a lot. Your hands will be free and you will be able to get stuff done.
