So nice to hear you had an enjoyable shower.

I hope you are getting the rest you need and your pre-e symptoms aren't bad today.

Ahhhhhh! I'm sort of relieved but sort of bummed after the appointment today. My BP is still too high if I even sit up for 2 seconds = keeping me on bed rest without stressors (i.e. they don't want me to take my finals even if I can do so lying down). However, my blood work and proteinuria is a little better this week, so they're perfectly content to keep me on strict bed rest, continue monitoring, and give me another 2 weeks or so to go on my own as long as nothing gets too out of whack. The doc actually gave me a smile and a pat and told me anytime I wanted to have the baby was a-okay and then I could get out of bed (this is a brave man, I tell you!)

I certainly don't want a failed induction or to force him out before he's ready, but this is crazy! I'm still having all the pre-e symptoms, which aren't exactly minor. I got a little scared at the appointment today because in 5 minutes' time on the biophysical profile Zach wasn't practicing his breathing at all - they had to get the buzzer out and zap him for a few minutes before he started moving amniotic fluid normally. I wish I had experience with high-risk pregnancies, but the doctor sort of gave me a "healthy babies can look sick but sick babies can't look healthy" spiel when I expressed concerns.

Okie doke, that's it for me. I think I'm just chalking this up to an emotional day and hormonal pregnancy - lol

(((((HUGS))))) That must be frustrating! Keep him in as long as he needs to be... It will all be worth it!

I keep telling Zach each day sounds like it would make a good birthday, and DH and I are continually telling him how much we want to meet him. Maybe it'll do some good. =)

I saw my professor yesterday for osteopathic manipulation, and he did a couple of techniques to try and keep my kidneys in good shape, but also get my parasympathetics and oxytocin fired up. Last night was the first night this pregnancy that I've had strong enough contractions they woke me up. I'm keeping an eye on my pressure, but may ask DH to take me out a little bit as long as it stays at an acceptable level and see if we can get these things synced up a bit.

I'll be praying for a healthy baby born tonight. Have a good day, and find something stress free to do

I really hope this will be the night for you. I read through all of your lodge (welcome, by the way), and it really sounds as though earlier will be better for you.

Don't worry about the amniotic breathing too much. I've seen perfectly healthy babies not breathing the amniotic fluid during the ultrasounds. They watch for it, but I was told they don't always do it consistantly.

I was told to come into L&D this afternoon because my blood pressure unexpectedly spiked higher than is safe. Got here and found out I was having birthing waves every 5 minutes (I thought it was about every 10), was 2 cm dilated, and 80% effaced (maybe the reason my BP was high? lol) Hooray for not needing induced for pre-e!

The doc broke my water about 1.5 hours ago and started pit in the interest of keeping the BP down. Any prayers or positive thoughts would be much appreciated as I can't have an epidural or spinal and am shooting for all natural with hypnobabies.
