Kristen, so how did you finally know to go in? From 9:48 a.m. to 10:09 a.m., I had 5 contractions, ranging from 3 to 7 minutes apart, all at least 45 seconds long. But I was walking around the house. If I sit down, it goes from 5 min to 12 min. I really don't want to go in too early but am wondering what to do if it keeps up like this all day!

Beverly, my contrax with Alexa were ranging from 3 to 6 to 9 minutes apart the 3rd (?) time I called L&D. The advice the nurse gave me was "I would know' when I needed to come in. She said if I could still handle it at home then to stay. An hour or so later I "knew." They still weren't regular, but by the time we got into the car and headed to the hospital (about 15min away) they were every 3 min and I was 6cm.

The nurses kept telling me that with my labor pattern i very well only could've been 1-2cm, at least that's what they said on the phone. Fortunately they were wrong!

IDK, I'm probably not being the most helpful, but that's how it went with Alexa. There came a point where I just knew I needed to head in even though the contrax weren't too regular.
