Yay for a fun weekend, uneventful is good sometimes lol. Glad you got to take advantage of a little one-on-one time with your other half I went boating about 2 months ago, and I had a difficult time finding a lifejacket that fit properly over my giant belly.

And good for getting that hospital bag started, I haven't made my list yet oops!

So this maybe TMI but last night we attempted to do the deed... It was horrible. I just want to be able to fit in his arms the way I use to and not have a huge gap between us. We had to stop in anyways because Xander got the hicups and it was just to weird to try to continue around that... I never thought that I would say this but I think I miss sex more than Lee does. He just laughed it off like it was no big deal and I burst into tears and had to escape to the bathroom. I am not sure if its really sex I miss the most or just feeling sexy...

On to another topic... Lee thinks that he knows when I am going to have this baby. (he constanly comes up with a different date every week) He thinks that since I am such a huge Grey's Anatomy fan my water will break right as the premier is about to start... I really hope not but if that really is the case there is always TVO.

Sorry about the intimacy issue, i understand how you feel about not feeling sexy, it's emotional! dh's are funny about what they think they know about when baby will come, tell him that if you go into labor during grey's anatomy you'll just bounce on a ball through the ctx then head to the hosp, lol.

We finally went out last night and bought a "birthing ball" OMG I love it!! I dont know if its in my head but it seems like today my hips dont really ache as much...
So its getting really late in the game but we were scheduled to have a lamaze instructor come over tonight and actually work us through the technices. We have been reading and practicing together but it would make me feel better to be shown also. Well she cancled and and because of schedule conflicts wont be able to meet with us until the 15. So, so much for being prepared...

Being prepared is great, but I wanted to say that I've had 2 baby and never gone to any kind of birth class My second birth was pain killer free and I didn't feel like there was anything I wished I knew. If something happens before you see her don't be too worried about it, you'll most likely do just fine!

    Hi Charity,

Yes, agree on the sex thing - I have such physical discomfort and just don't feel attractive in general. It is hard but I keep reminding myself it is only temporary!

And I am another late comer to NCB so don't feel like you are the only one who feels unprepared. However, I am just going to try my own relaxation and visualization techniques. I too have a birth ball (well it was DH's exercise ball but I have taken it over. ) and we have tried perineal massage too.

And, in the long run, I just keep telling myself that I trust my mind and my body and that if this is something I really want, I can "will" myself through it... so hang in there and don't get discouraged by feeling unprepared.

Glad you are liking your ball I ditto what prev posters have said, don't worry if you end up not being able to take the class, it doesn't mean you won't have a successful NCB experience, just prepare the best you can in the meantime. We'll support you with that!
