yeah I am really hoping I don't because I messed up my back and need to get adjusted before labor starts or it's just gonna be that much harder! My chiro appt. is thursday after we go to lunch!

Did your AC ever get fixed? How is everything down there after Ike?

yep the AC was fixed on Friday!!! I am so excited that our house is nice and cool! Everything is pretty much completely back to normal in Houston, but the further south you go from here the more and more stuff is still considered a disaster-area. I don't think I'll be going back to Galveston or Kemah for at least a year or something.

My in laws are still without power (in the Heights area). I agree with Clare though, a lot of things are completely back to normal now, thank God! I just can't wait until everything is back....they said it will be about 6 months or so.

I'm glad to hear things are getting back to normal down your way. Our area lost power due to Ike winds, people were complaing up a storm. Made me so mad when you folks were dealing with SO much more!

so today I went to the motherhood store...I was definitely the most pregnant person in there and I felt like I was being stared down! I guess other pregnant women find me interesting or something I don't know. I tried on one of their maternity support belts just for kicks, those things are NOT strong enough to support me, nor thick enough. I have a big underbelly area from already being significantly overweight before being pregnant so at this point most things like that are a joke for people like me. Oh well. I ended up buying a really cute nursing nightgown, I think I might labor in it, it's really comfy and I wanted to find something open at the bottom yet still somewhat modest to labor in. It also came with a cute onesie for the baby. After that I hit up babies r us and picked up my breastpump. I just got the medela harmony handpump and I tried it out when I got home..I'm already full of colostrum, and I think after using it I gave myself some BH. Maybe I can induce myself with it come 40 weeks? Someone told me I should just start pumping now and saving my colostrum. Is that a good idea or no?

The pump will surely get you started! Ummm...I don't know about saving the colostrum. Would milk come in, or does it stay colostrum until after LO is born?

I can only imagine all the women in the store eyeing you and wondering how their bodies will manage to stretch that much! I've been noticing strange looks lately and I'm only 31 weeks and on the small side.
