Yay Clare! I can't believe you already have a lodge...it seems like yesterday that we were PMing about birthing centers around us.

Well today I got my GBS test and got my first cervical check. The GBS was not really a big deal, and the cervical check wasn't too bad, but I got some sharp pains right after it and some blood. I guess the upside to having a male DR would be that they have bigger hands...my MW is very petite and has tiny hands and couldn't really reach my cervix. She pushed really hard up in there and it wasn't super comfortable, but not super painful either. She did say it seemed like I was thinning out some, but I kind of think she just said that to give me a positive answer. My cervix was pretty high and I don't think she could really reach it to tell yet haha. I'm not worried though I am only 36 weeks, and honestly I am hoping that she stays in there for at least 2 more weeks.

We just found out my niece who has been staying here the past 2 weeks will be leaving this weekend or sometime next week so it will be nice for me to have a few weeks to myself after she's gone.

I can't seem to kick this lingering cough from when I was sick last week. It's not so bad, except for the fact that it's unproductive and I feel like there is fluid in my lungs or something and nothing seems to help it come up. A friend of mine told me that a mixture of fenugreek and thyme is supposed to be a really good expectorant or somehting so I may try that. I am tired of taking medicines.

wow I didn't know that! I LOVE corgis! Someday I want to move someplace with lots of land and raise Alpacas and Corgis. The corgis can herd the alpacas, I've always wanted to see my dogs herd but they are such inside domesticated dogs and we have no livestock lol.
