GL! I had low fluid levels with Ethan but he hadn't dropped and I was high and closed up tight so they couldn't induce. Hope you don't have to be induced, but you know you can still do it natural! KUP! Do you have any way of updating us?
Thinking of you Jodi!! Hope everything has gone good and that you are holding your sweet baby right now.

Here is a quick birth story:
So here's the basic birth story:
I went in to the MW office yesterday morning - no signs of labor at all. I had an u/s first, then a NST, and then a MW appt. The baby reacted well to the NST, but had low fluid (a 5, when it should have been a 9). So at the MW appt. she told me I had to come to the hospital that night to be induced and get cervadil or pitocin. I told her that i didn't want that, and she agreed to strip my membranes and I would drink castor oil to see if it got things started. She stripped them and i was dilated to a 3/4. So I left there, went to the grocery store for rootbeer float ingredients to get down my castor oil, and went home, took Rosie for a bike ride, my friend stopped over and gave me some nursing pads she had left over, and then I drank my castor oil around 1. My MIL showed up at our house around 3:30, so I decided to eat a bit, then nothing was happening.
I had to be at the hospital by 7 or so. I did laundry, etc. and then at 7 we left for the hospital - still no signs of labor other than slight menstrual cramp feelings. We got there to check in, around 7:10 and there were no rooms open, so we had to sit in the family waiting room for an hour till it was ready. During that time I started having contractions. At 8:15 they hooked me up to the monitors for 1/2 hour and I started getting contractions every 2-3 minutes that were lasting over a minute. So my MW checked me and said I was a 5, and I did not need cervadil. We called the doula and she got there at 8:45 just as we were being moved from a triage room to a L&D room. My labor kept getting a bit more intense and at 10:30 the MW left the room and said she was going in the hall to get supplies ready to catch the baby. I didn't believe it was baby time though.
At 10:35 I had two really hard contractions that felt a bit pushy, and so I got up on the bed to sit on my knees and lean on the back of the bed for the next contraction, and that was my last contraction!. I pushed 3 times and he was out. It was so surreal. I ended up with 4 or 5 stitches, but far fewer than I had w/ Rosie.
I did take some pictures, but don't have the cord here at the hospital.
Congrats!!! Can't wait to see pics Glad you didn't need the induction and that everything went well!
WOOHOO!! Congratulations on a quick labor and a healthy baby Can't wait for pictures!
