Adding my prayers and best wishes to the mix. Hopefully tomorrow brings better news - just one day at a time. ***hugs***

Thanks everyone! You are all so nice. Thank you for the prayers.

They are helping. I woke up this morning feeling much better. I still feel a little out of it, but I think it is mostly from lack of any food in my system. I was only able to keep down a few juice popsickles last night...so I am feeling a little weak.

I have my regular appointment with my midwife this morning and we are going to discuss the induction that is scheduled for tomorrow. I have been praying about it and talking about it with DH and we feel that unless I go in to labor today or tonight, that we will go ahead and do the induction tomorrow morning.

I wish I didn't have to worry about that and that we knew baby would come at the right time, but we feel it is the best thing for us and our situation. Once I made the final decision, I felt much less stress and I feel good knowing what we are doing and how we are doing it.

DH starts work on Thursday and Friday and I don't want to risk going into labor one of those days. He can't up and leave when he has a full schedule of new patients that he needs to try to keep and add to his clientele. The sooner he gets a full load of patients, the sooner he gets upgraded to full time with full benefits and insurance. Plus, my midwife is not on call this weekend and although she would make an effort to be there if I were to go in labor, she said she has plans...so it wouldn't be favorable for her this weekend either. That is why we couldn't schedule the induction for this weekend.

So based on the next 4 days after Wednesday, we just feel it wouldn't work for us. It is unfortunate that we only have a day to get baby here and I am praying that labor isn't more than 10 hours or so. I need to have the baby by evening so DH can get some sleep that night before starting work. I know he won't be at the hospital with me the next day but based on our circumstances, I have accepted that and am fine with just hanging out at the hospital with the baby.

So our tentative plan is to go to my appointment this morning, set everything in stone...drop kids off to sisters this afternoon, finish getting ready for hospital, go to bed super early so we are both well rested, and go to the hospital first thing in the morning.

Wish us luck! I will update when I can.

My appointment went well. I am gaining for strength all the time. I was severely dehydrated...but I knew that. My urine was a very strange color and they said it was from dehydration.

I am 3 centimeters dilated and 70% effaced. She called labor and delivery to ask them if I could possibly come in earlier than 8am tomorrow. They said I just need to call them at 5am and I will know then if they have room for me earlier. So that is the plan. I am going to drop kids off to sisters in a few, then DH and I will go look at cars for a little while since he needs a new car, then get Cafe Rio for dinner. That actually sounds good to me despite not eating for 1 1/2 days. So I am hoping I can handle that and go to bed sustained on that. My midwife said I can't eat anything after midnight. Then I will wake up early and get ready (bags will be completely packed tonight), give them a call, and hopefully I can be in by 6am....start my antibiotic, so my midwife can break my water around 8am. Here is hoping the labor isn't too long and I have the baby by afternoon or very early evening.

Wish us luck!!!! I am so happy that this is working out. I wish I had gone into labor on my own, but I feel good about this and a lot of my stress is gone now that we have decided to do it this way. I can't wait to meet my baby girl tomorrow!!!

I'm so glad that you all have a plan, Kimia, and that you are at peace with it! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers, and am sure things will work out. Get your strength up as much as possible and enjoy the evening with DH before baby/work/etc. =)

3cm & 70% effaced means those contractions have been doing something! That's a good way to start an induction. Good luck hon!

I received this text at 7:40 from Kimia: "She is here! 7 lbs 8 oz 18 1/2 inches long. Born at 6:22. She is beautiful. Lots of hair! Eyes wide open within seconds. Very alert."
Congratulations, Kimia and WTTW, little girl! I can't wait to hear details
