Kim, I love your attitude. As long as everyone is healthy there is not much saying what will happen when.

Can I join you for the cookies? Seriously....

    Hey all,

Here's to cookie recipe for any of you with a cookie press (they are soooo yummy):

    1 cup butter (softened)
    3/4 cup sugar
    3 large egg yolks
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/8 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour (unsifted)

1 - With electric mixer, beat butter thoroughly.
2 - Add sugar gradually, continuing to beat about 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
3 - Add egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Beat well.
4 - Lightly spoon flour into measuring cups; level off. Add flour in 3 additions; mix well after each addition; dough will be stiff.
4a - At this point, we add green food coloring, because we make "Christmas Trees."
5 - Fill and assemble cookie press/gun. Use desired cookie disc and make cookies.
6 - Bake 8-10 minutes at 400F, or until just starting to turn light goldn around edges.

    Makes 6-7 dozen cookies

Last night, I stayed up a little too late, but I feel okay this morning. I have a chiropractic appt. tonight and they are supposed to reevaluate me. I feel progress, so I'm sure the reeval. will show the same.

I'm excited for tomorrow, because we have an early dismissal at work. I should be home by 12:30. Then, I'll be making the applesauce for Thanksgiving and attempting to make red beet eggs for my hubby (after going shopping with DH on Saturday, he found out how expensive they are at the grocery store and suggested I not buy them for him - they are his favorite, though - so when I was at the farmer's market and came across fresh beets, I decided to buy some and try making them myself).

Had more prepping for baby's arrival dreams last night. I dreamed most of pre-labor (losing mucous plug, bloody show, cramps, etc.) and labor (moving around in all sorts of positions - pain wasn't that bad - I actually felt bad about the fact that I wasn't in that much pain - weird). I woke up before the baby's birth, though, and due to congestion, didn't really get back to sleep.

Looking forward to the holiday tomorrow. If you don't hear from me over the weekend, it's most likely that I just couldn't figure out how to get on here on my iPhone, not that I'm in labor. We'll see though. I dreamed 11/27 a while ago, so that could be my big day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and enjoys the time they have with their families!

    My holiday was wonderful!

The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. The only thing missing was my step-son, Dylan, who couldn't make it because he was sick (tonsilitis). He's doing much better, now, though, thankfully.

I got plenty of rest during the long weekend. I didn't do too much, but there's not much that needs to get done. We're ready to go.

I'm thinking it's going to be a little bit yet before the little guy arrives. I haven't felt and BHs (though I'm assured I'm having them), haven't experienced any real pre-labor signs (such as nesting, weight stabilization, bloody show/mucus plug, increase in discharge, etc.). Nada. The baby moved down a while ago, but I don't think he's engaged. I just don't feel any major pressure.

We'll see, but my guess is this little one isn't coming before his due date on Dec. 10th. Luckily, that's not too far away. I just need to get through this week.

I have a m/w appt. tonight at 7:30pm (a bit late for me, but ah well). I'm looking forward to it.

    Thanks, Vanessa!

My midwife appointment went well. I met with the midwife-in-training. She's such a sweatheart! As expected, the baby is still floating (but in good anterior-vertex position). His heartbeat is strong and healthy. He's measuring on track. So, we're good to go, when the time is right.

I'm a bit tired today as I couldn't get right to sleep last night, so I stayed up longer than I should have. I hope to go to bed early tonight to make up some sleep.

The weather here is getting colder, so I'm thankful for my pregnancy-induced inner warmth. Usually, I'm very suceptible to the cold and would be very uncomfortable, but right now I feel like superwoman in the face of dropping temperatures and have no problem enduring cold weather.

I'm also thankful that the baby is healthy and in the right position. He's a good boy!

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving and got to rest. And the appointment sounds great. I find that student or assistant midwives are generally great because they are so excited to be doing the work.

December 10 is not far away!

Sounds like your appointment went great! I am the same way about the cold--I'm usually always freezing, but when pregnant is it not really a problem.
