last day of work! I so need a vacation! LMAO! What kind of work do/did you do?

Nicole I am in medical billing for a large physician group! I will be coming back sometime in December..unless I find a job for what I have been studying to be, medical transcriptionist! I am almost finished with school and then take my final, which I am realllllllly hoping to pass and then look for a job! And my feet are ginormous today, i had mcdonald's yesterday..oops!

Well..I got back from my appt a little bit ago and he said I am 1 cm dilated and 40% effaced! He expects me to go within 1 week..and he says based on how I am measuring and feeling my belly that his guess is Luke is 8lbs at this point, and that if I go another 10 days that he will be around 8 1/2-9 pounds. He said that he was going to "poke his finger" through the cervix to kind of get things going.. I am not sure if that means he did a membrane sweep or what? Does anyone know?? It was not comfy, I'll say that! And he told me to expect bleeding..which now just started..does this mean labor is on its way? He was MUCH more personable this time!! Oh and he said his head is verrrrrryyy low and making its way to the birth canal..so I am not sure if he is lower than last week or what? Oh well..soon I will have my baby..and my last day at work was awesome..it felt so nice to know that I am not going back (hopefully never and I can get my medical transcriptionist job) til December!

ETA: And now I am having more frequent back cramping than I have been having..any one have input??

Sounds like he might have swept your membranes. I had some light spotting today which I think is from my check yesterday. But other then that i have had no "side effects".. What ever he did it sounds promising!!! KUP!!

I'm excited for you to be done with work! It sounds like your having contractions, can you feel them in your tummy as well as your back. Does your belly get hard when you feel the back pain? I would assume he did a sweep, that's what it sounds like. It sounds like your getting close, KUP if things get going!

Kristine!! super doc appt! glad he had more personality this time! and hey you have some action going on!!! that is fun! KUP with any new developments!!!! What are you doing with yourself today now that you are going into work?
