Hi there,
I had my NST today and my u/s too.
I really dislike the NST tests. They are always in the morning when the baby seems to be sleeping and the techs get a little annoyed at the lack of movement. Usually I can wake her up by eating a Pria bar right before the appointment or drinking some cold water but today she was completely out cold sleeping so they had to use the vibrating buzzer thing to wake her up. My whole belly jumped when they jolted her awake. I HATE when they do that!! It just seems so cruel and mean. She was really moving around like crazy after that... DH and I were joking that she was just completely pissed off!
The u/s and appointment went fine too. My BP was great. They said my fluids look good and they are now estimating her weight at 8 lbs 4 oz (though they said it can be up to a half lb off).
EDD is Sunday - we'll see if I will be late!!

True - that is a very good way of looking at it... she is spunky!!
One my appointments she was awake and all was fine but this is the second time they have had to jolt her awake. Hate that!! Hopefully you won't need a NST at all - I just have to have them being over 35.... they are pretty easy so I should not complain but I just don't like them...

Great story! Sounds like your DH is going to be a great daddy to your little girl! I think it's awesome you guys plan to still travel a lot with her! You're getting so close!! Have they checked for cervical change or anything yet?
Yes, it just seems so very mean - she's just a little things all peaceful and sleepy and they jolt/buzz her awake. It is really sad to see the baby "jump" like that in my belly.
Yes, Sunday... isn't that just crazy?!? It really flies by. Seems like only a few weeks ago that DH and I were staring at the pregnancy test stick!!!
Charity and Rachelle, hope you are both well and ready for the weekend.![]()

Thanks!! We are getting really excited. Just does not seem possible. We love to travel so we definitely hope to get her adjusted by taking some car trips first then maybe work our way up to some longer vacations.
My OBGYN checked me on Tuesday and said that my cervix is still pretty closed up and not dialated at all but I am effacing... we'll see!!!

Take care !!!! cant' wait to see your baby !!! and read your story
I love travel and vaca! We take babies everywhere! We started a tradition with our older kids to take them on a father/son and mother/daughter trip to somewhere they want to go when they turn 13.
Sydney our oldest wanted to go to Washington D.C. (we ended up going when she was 14) Marcus was only 4 months old, so we packed him in a sling and brought him with. We had great fun, and traveling with babies is easy if you know how to do it. - and you will know how after a few runs!
