Welcome, Nancy! Its so exciting to have Feb lodges in place!
Even though we shared a previous board I don't think I ever knew that much about you. I love the story of you and your DH. Can't wait to hear more, when you can find time. :)

I enjoyed reading the story of you and your DH. I am one of those girls who married one of the guys she dated while writing a missionary. The stories of the couples who write each other for 2 years and end up getting married are always sweet.
Aww, thanks!!
Moving on in the story of us, a month after we were married I started feeling sick to my stomach... lo and behold, there were 2 lines when I took a test. I was pg with #1, and due mid June.
My pg with dd went ok. I was sick a lot, and we didn't figure out why the m/s hung on for so long until I was around 24 weeks along. We finally figured out that a certain combo of vitamins didn't work for me. When we switched it around and went to a different prenatal vitamin that didn't include calcium, I started feeling much better.
I began to swell, and my blood pressure began to rise as I got closer to the end of my pg. I wasn't preeclampsic yet... but we were watching closely for it, when my water broke spontaneously at 36 w 4 days. Dd was coming early...
We headed to the hospital after 3 hrs at home (in retrospect, I wish we'd waited.. but I was young and innocent when it came to birth) After another 3 hours at the hospital, I got the pitocin speech. They augmented with pitocin because I wasn't dilating fast enough. A mere 5 hours later..(which felt like an eternity with back labor.. I had the most WONDERFUL nurse that helped us through it without continually offering pain meds) dd came out sunny side up. A total of 14 hours after my water broke at home, I was holding my first child. Dd was born precisely 9 months and 1 day after dh and I were married, lol :)
Welcome to your lodge Nancy!! I'm so excited for you :)
Thanks Chimmy!! I'm excited too :) I've hit a new point for me in pg.. I've NEVER nested. Ever... I've always either had the baby early, or been too big/exhausted/in pain, or something. There's always been something to prevent me from nesting really. And I am definitely nesting, lol. Heaven help the child that messes up my house right now. I washed/folded 5 loads of laundry today, my kitchen/bathrooms are all spotless, my l/r and d/r are nice and neat, I washed the sliding glass door, I cleaned all the doors/doorknobs, cleaned off the piano, etc.... I have been working ALL day, and I still am looking around and seeing things that I want to tackle, lol.
Can I say too... I have the most AWESOME friends in the world? They just know what I need. My good friend brought by a vase with a beautiful flower arrangement in it this morning and gave it to me. Then she proceeded to tell me, "I'm bringing you dinner tonight, I'm not asking, I'm just going to do it. What time do you want me to bring it over?"
She had no idea I'd be nesting today.. nor did she have any idea that my kitchen would be spotless and there was no way I was gonna mess it up tonight making dinner, lol :) And another friend who told me today, "I'm picking up Caleb thursday from school so that he can have a playdate with my son, and I'll come and grab Evan too" Once again, didn't really ask, just kinda told me, this is what I'm doing so you can have a break.
I tell you.. I'm sooo blessed with the friends that I have!
I enjoyed your DD's birth story. Looking forward to hearing the rest of your stories!
Wow, you got a lot done yesterday! That is really cool that your friend brought you flowers and dinner and your other friend is taking your 2 youngest boys on Thurs. You do have great friends!
So excited for you. Cannot wait to hear more. And yeah for good friends.
Maybe today... I hesitate to post this cause I don't want to jinx things, but I've been crampy/contracting off and on since about 3:30 this morning. Also losing a lot of mucous with a lot of bloody show. Let's hope this is it!! Otherwise I'll be back later crying about it, lol.
I hope this is it! Good Luck!
ELVs if this is it, Nancy! The bloody show sounds promising!
