Congrats on being in the homestretch to meeting your cowboy! My pregnancies were easy like my mom's, but it was L&D that were really identical. Four fast deliveries between us, even with us both being small (she's 5 ft and I am 5'3") and my son being 9 pounds. Crazy. How were your mom's deliveries?
Karly- Mom had 8 hour labor with both my bro and I!!!! Yippie!!! She liked to stay at home as long as she could! With my bro he was born so fast they asked what made her come to the hospital and she said because her water broke! lol! I will be happy with an 8 hour labor! More then happy! lol!
Alright boss stepped out of the office for a few so..
Why I'm choosing NCB:
I always thought I would be one of those women who would have an epidural. Didn't want the pain, plus I just thought it was something that all women did. Women who had NCB where our moms age, not my age. Then I got the BFP and my mind began to think diffrently. My online BFF (kjplus5-kara) and I did ALOT of talking about it. She convinced me to watch TBOBB, and after that my mind was wrapped around something diffrent. I started lurking here, reading more, asking questions and by the time our Child Birth Classes came around I was hooked! Our Child Birth classes were SO informative, most of the stuff I kinda already knew but DH was learning it all for the first time! He is on board 110% sometimes so much it scares me, lol! I am not the one to like to cause pain for myself, I like to avoid it but how do i know what labor is going to be like if i have never been through it? Having DH there by my side though I know we can make it through it. He is a take no BS kinda guy and I feel 99% confident he will and can stand up for me. We both want this, he knows what i want and he wants it for our baby also. Another thing that shocks me is how many woman get induced/ have epis. I don't know a single GF IRL who hasn't been induced, therefore all having epis. We are having a hospital birth, it's a small hospital and my SIL works in L&D. She won't be our nurse but she has instructions to make sure I get paired with a NCB friendly nurse. DH and I are also planning on staying home as long as we can, we are 20 min from the hospital all back roads and I'm not scared if he has to deliver our baby on the way! lol! I am going into labor with an open mind. I am going to try my hardest to have this baby med free, i have a great support with DH. But if something happens to where we need an intervention I will know I did my homework and be able to make an informed desison. It's my baby, my new family, my body. Ok enough rambling! LOL!
Few more things about me, I can't spell- sorry. And the baby has no name, other then Cupcake. We will name him when he is born..
Thanks Christine! I hope I can have the birth I want also! I keep playing it over and over in my head! lol!
These last few days I have been hot! Granted it's been in the 90's both days but still! lol! This is the first I have actually been hot at work. So today I wore shorts!! hottie, lol! Other then being hot, not being able to breath I'm feeling good! I have been starting to wrap things up at work. Got some old files packed up, new files made! Wow, and I'm on my last baby in my ticker. It's all starting to become real! I am so excited and feel ready for this LO and labor. Becoming a parent is scary and exciting all at the same time!!
Luke seems to always be hot. When I hold him, I think, "Damn, no WONDER I was so grouchy in hot weather." Now that I no longer have a radiant heater in my belly, the warmer temps are much easier to bear - in fact, I'm always worrying he might be cold!
