Glad I got to read your story. Sounds like things are progressing so much better this time around. Yay accupuncture

Over the weekend, I had a second night of consistent, intense crampy ctx. It was so weird, I would have sworn I was getting AF. That's just exactly what it felt like. That real heavy, achey crampy sensation. Radiated up my back and down my thighs too. I never had that sort of feeling with DD, so this is kinda interesting to me - I'm curious to see how things play out!

I think I might be starting to lose my plug too. Not all in one chunk, just little bits here and there. I did have the same with DD, in the last week before she was born I believe.

I forgot to mention I am doing Hynobabies for this birth! I am enjoying it, but I do feel like a slacker in that I am not practising as much as I should. Ugh. It's just like school all over again! I'm not doing my homework.

Supposed to be a very hot week here. I'm not much of a summer person to begin with so I'm not looking forward to this! I just can't tolerate the heat for very long. I live in Western Canada, and very few people have central a/c here. We just have fans LOL. I much prefer cooler, rainy weather - I totally should have been born in Vancouver I guess!

OK, I know I've been a total slacker with the pics, but here are a couple!

Great pictures! Your belly is adorable. I have never noticed losing my MP in either pregnancy. Along with the cramping, it sounds like a great sign that your body is getting in the birthing groove.

Aw you look awesome Nicole! This heat is something else isn't it! I don't envy the pregnancy during summer at all! Hey you and Alicia should bring suits over tomorrow if we're still on for lunch - we have one of those 15ft soft sided pools. I bet it would feel really good and the kids would love it! (Not to mention tire them out for their naps )

Your wedding portrait is beautiful! So is your belly.

Loved reading your story. I can't wait to hear more about the homebirth! I'm right there with you on the menstrual cramping. Weird, huh? Good luck and thanks for the kick to keep practicing hypnobabies!

Conni, hmmm....the pool does sound nice I must say. I'll see if I can dig up my bathing suit.....

So I had my MW home visit this morning. Went very well! My mom was there, she was so impressed with our MW, Barb. She's just one of those people who's so friendly and it feels like you've known her forever the first time you meet. Alicia had lots of fun putting the gel on the doppler (that's "her" job) and then proceeded to listen to her doll's heartbeat as well. Still waiting on the GBS results, she hadn't received them back yet. I was negative last time, and this time I've done the probiotics/garlic/echinacea/Vit C routine, so I'm really hoping it'll be negative again. Although I'm fortunate in that if I do choose the abx, it won't change my homebirth at all. Barb can just give me the IV at home while I'm labouring. I've heard some say that being postive will exclude them from a homebirth, so I'm glad that's not the case for me.

Baby's been quiet today. Maybe it's the heat LOL! I've still got a few last minute things to get in order for the homebirth. Still wondering about what food to have around. If there was a 24 hour grocery store around here, it wouldn't be an issue - I'd just send someone out for some fresh buns and deli meats or something like that. But we have nothing of the sort. The stupid thing is my BIL/SIL who live in a little town of 6000 about 5 hours away have a 24 hours grocery store less than 5 minutes from their house. Here I live in a city of just under a million and we don't have anything like that! Ah well. I'll figure something out I guess.

Hi Nicole As usual I'm the last one to get caught up lol, but just wanted to welcome you to your lodge and add my support hoping you get a better birth experience this time around. Glad you found a MW you really connect with!

And I hear ya on the heat! I'm in Edmonton where it is 28C today, which is about as hot as I like it, but supposed to be hotter over the next few days. Definately deserving of some sort of frozen treat!

I am getting the exact same thing! I was going to post something about this...but at least once a day I get the feeling AF is here. Guess it's normal?!
