I swear I'm going crazy I thought I posted here after you last night, but I guess not! I hope you had a good nights sleep, or a busy night. Let us know how your doing when ever you have a chance, and your silly doc should no better then to worry about you!

Urgh. I hate when they start trying to push the induction card on someone who obviousely isn't interested.

I hope you're still doing well!

    Love,

Well, I'm getting interested. being a multipara something - lotsa kids - and being 44 my doc actually made some valid points. He called me this morning, and really talked to me, took time to explain his reasoning and acknowledge my postition on ncb. That he respected my wishes about the birth, and that he trusts in my ability. I believe we are on the same page. and I feel so relieved. I respect his ability as a doc - he has delivered hundreds of babies, probably into the thousands over 35 years. and as I've said, he is a pro ncb doctor, who has delivered 5 of my children, as well as many of my friends kids. So, we decided to wait til THursday, and then induce using a cervix ripening. After that I expect to deliver as I've always done.
I am good with this and am excited to have an end in sight! Really excited

It's nice to hear that you have a doctor who will actually call you and talk to you like an intelligent human being! That he laid it all out for you without just saying "you need to do this" has to give you a lot of confidence in his abilities. I hope that you go into labor before Thursday, but if not, it sounds like you've made an informed decision! (I'm so excited for you!)

I think its great that you had a good talk with your Dr so that you didnt feel "forced" into something.

I bet you just need a little extra push and it will put you over the edge like shella!

    thanks for the update! KUP!

I just can't believe you'll make it to Thursday I keep feeling like your going to be in labor any second. I hope you have a great day, and that things start up on their own in the next day or so. I'm curious to know what he's worried about, as I'm far from where you are as far as age and # of kids!

I think your doctor has some really good points about the idea of inducing, with this being your 7th child, and I'm glad he was able to talk to you respectfully about it. I hope you go into labor on your own before Thursday, but if you don't, then I think a cervical ripener is a good choice (because I really hate pitocin). I'm excited for you!

What an awesome doctor! I hope things pick up for you tonight or tomorrow so you can skip the cervix ripening all together! Definitely KUP! I will be thinking about you!
