Well, we had a good time with our guests. The house got clean enough and we had turkey pot pie and apple crisp (yes, I made both from scratch) so I didn't stress too bad last night. They do have a 7 month old who has been waking up some at night (teething, we think) but no worse than DD has been lately, so I'm not too sleep deprived.

The appointment yesterday was very much same old same old. No action, no problems, very much like a 5th month or so appointment, really. No sugar or protein in the urine, no swelling, blood pressure is fine, baby is fine, yada yada yada. And I didn't have her do an internal because I don't think they mean much before labor starts. So...the suspense continues.

Ok, so I've told Seth that 9-11 is out, and I want to take the kids to the fair on Saturday 9-12, and the 13th would be *ok* ...but really, does he want to have some of his birthdays be on Friday the 13th? I'd just rather he wait until Monday and he can be very punctual and come on his due date, 9-14. We'll see if he listens.

LOL! I didn't mean he can't come AFTER his due date, I just don't want him to come before then at this point.

Looks like we've made it so far...just over 7 hours left on the 13th and nothing seems to be happening. We had lots of fun at the fair yesterday (and stayed within our budget), and I'm not even too sore from all the walking/pushing the stroller/carrying DD (mostly DH carried her or she walked, I didn't carry her a ton or anything). Right now my meal schedule has failed me and I'm trying to decide what to make for dinner, lol. I'd ask for suggestions but this board always seems to be a bit slow on the weekend...

We shall see what tomorrow brings! 40 weeks baby!

I am glad you had fun at the fair. Good job with all of that walking only 2 days before your due date.

I am going to our state fair tomorrow with the kids. Luckily DH hasn't started working yet, so he will be there also...which will help. I am kind of dreading all of that walking, but hopefully it will help me progress toward getting the baby here sooner rather than later. I just hope they have lots of benches for me to sit on and rest every hour or so.

Ow. We just got back from taking the kids for a very short walk, but at one point I had to full-on run after 19 month old DD to catch her before she fell headlong into a ditch. The child has no fear. I only had to run a few feet, but it was enough...my pelvic bones are complaining.

No news yet, I had a long bout of contractions last night that I thought sure were going to turn into something--strongest I've had yet. They lasted most of the night (mild enough to sleep through, for the most part) and went away around 6 am. Grrr.

My last labor started in earnest shortly after midnight so for some reason that seems like the only time labor can start, in my head... Just watch, this time it'll start around lunch or something.

Thanks for the comments, ladies! Oh, and Chimmy, I don't think I'd take all your kids to the fair at this point either. Just my two was enough.
