The difference in a boy? I was like that last time with Leo...uncommunicative. I barely could inspire myself to write out my birth story.
I hope those contrax are doing something for you! I'm right there in prodromal heck with youand truly feel your pain. My girl pregnancy was textbook but all my boys have thrown me for a loop thus far, perhaps you are similar?
Maybe! This is the first time I absolutely cannot tell what is going on. Even with Callie, who I was in prodromal labor with for weeks, I had a decent idea of where the whole show was going. This time around I am so bla'se I can hardly stand it. Ready to be done, but apathetic at the same time
Today I think I may time a few of those tightenings to see how they are spaced. I'm genuinely curious, they can't be more than five minutes apart.
I'm right there with you! I gave in to temptation last night and started timing. They were 5-10 minutes apart for at least an hour or two (I stopped timing after that and went to bed). I'm not in any discomfort though (from the contrax anyway) and I hope you're not either. Wouldn't it be lovely if we waltzed our way to 6 cm over the next few weeks?!
Have fun at your baby shower!
Well Taryl I feel surly most of the time and I don't have near your excuse. ;)
Christy, you crack me up!
Erin - some of them are pretty painful, some are mild, some barely register, it's like a mixed nut bowl  I am a bit trigger shy of contractions that don't progress because I had WEEKS of prodromal labor with my first and a few days of it with my second, which is really exhausting. But I am going to try and latch onto your optimism that both of us will progress nicely and in relative painlessness. That would be delightful!
Since I was all nicely dressed tonight and my hair was even down (very rare, only a few times a year do I actually let it loose) I decided it was time for an updated belly picture, just shy of full term (36w5d). I'm measuring in at 40 weeks, he's dropped a bit but not as much as I'd like.
Excuse the awful quality and bathroom lighting!

I'm off to do some more knitting on a baby hat I have been working on and then it is over to the shower. What a fun night!
You look wonderful!!
Have fun at your shower!
yay! I was thinking it was time for a new belly pic for you. You look great! Have fun at your shower. I'm knitting up a hat right now for a shower I'm attending on Sunday. I was just thinking earlier that it doesn't get much cuter than a knit newborn hat.
Hope those pesky contractions are at least working for you and not just putting you in pain for no reason.
I love knitted new born hates but no one ever makes them for me and it seems no matter how many times I try knitting I can't do it right. Maybe new born hates would be easier for me though. Have fun at your shower! Don't you just love the pre-labor. *rolling eyes* Been there done that BUT good news is, is it does help speed up the process of birth in most cases. :)
I was way behind on reading... Glad to hear that the chiropractor was able to help with your back pain. I went to the chiro for the first time this last pregnancy and it was amazing! Can't believe I suffered through 3 other pregnancies!
Hope you enjoyed your shower and got lots of cute things for your little man!
