Oh Taryl I really hope this is it for you!!!
Christy birth doula, Hypnobabies instructor, small business owner & most importantly MOMMY.
Sounds very promising!!!! After I had my sweep with William I had huge amounts of bloody show which turned into labor. If it was just irritation it would have turned brown by now for sure, the blood from irritation from that only lasts for a couple hours, that's what I did with DS1 and was induced 2 weeks later. But I had 3 days of bloody show with DS2 before labor kicked in but my contractions never increased in intensity until I went into labor.
Crossing my fingers and hope this is it!!!!!

The gobs of bloody mucus are a really good sign, ITA that irritation spotting would be gone by now. I hope you get a nice long nap, and then wake up to real labor.
The number of U.S. states in which a person can marry the person they love regardless of gender: 30 and counting!
Contractions tapered off a bit, even the pump wasn't doing much, but I am generally sore and crampy through my uterus and lower back, so I don't even know what is going on right now, but here's to hoping it is useful!
I'll keep updating this lodge as I can, but when it is off-to-the-hospital time (over the next few hours/days/weeks/who know with me) my husband will be updating our son's site. It will be the best, fastest place to get information and pictures, feel free to repost updates here if you'd like

YAY! That sounds just like how my labour started...sweep, show, contrax spaced out. Then HIGH GEAR about 36 hours later. WOOT! I hope this is it for you and I've already bookmarked your hubby's journal.
I'll be stalking the site, too! I hope things get going soon for you!
Emily, I'd LOVE to have a birth like yours, I just don't think I'm that lucky I'll believe I can have a fast progression to 10 when it happens!
So excited for you, Taryl! Here's to hoping the little man surprises you and things speed right up. Can't wait for you to meet the little guy. My friend had the same issue with her third being high and floating before labor (and with a nuchal hand), but once in labor, things progressed well with some walking and her babe came out fairly easy. I am wishing this to be the case for you as well.
Just want to say Ganbare Taryl! Thinking lots of good thoughts northwards!!!
