Here's 38w2d. It looks bigger in person, for some reason. I have never managed to take an epic, accurate belly shot without my husband manning the camera, I think I twist too much.

I am measuring, fundal height, around 42-43 weeks. Joy.

Have you tried doing a belly binding, either with an elastic binder or a rebozo or scarf, immediately after he settles after your exercises? I've heard that the holding baby down can help...

Ouch!! On the bright side, all that relaxin will make for easier birthing!

You look great, Taryl! Thanks for indulging me. I wouldn't believe you were measuring ahead at all if you didn't just state it. I totally understand about it being so inconvenient to get to the pool. Hopefully, you find it helps with the next baby. Glad you were able to get things back into alignment (again!). Do you find your pelvic/joint issues are worse with each subsequent pregnancy? My pain was a lot more with L than K, but it was hard to know if it was a subsequent pregnancy or because he was so large. Hope you have a great appointment!

The only reason I look small, I think, is because my boobs are huge (38J). So to get my belly to stick out further than them takes serious growth. It's also the reason people guess my weight lower than it is by a good 20-30 pounds, and have for years... I'm fairly curvy and it hides a lot

As for pelvic pain, I have found it has been worse, earlier, but the overall intensity seems about the same from the pregnancy with Lilah (which was worse than Callie). I can't figure out if that is because I am in better shape and lighter, or because I have had chiropractic this time around and had chiro with Callie, too, but not Lilah. From what I can tell there is an upper limit on how early the relaxin will affect your joints, so it theoretically shouldn't get worse than it is, now.

Stace - the belly binding sounds like a plan, if it doesn't hurt to do it can't be bad to keep him engaged more than less. I'll give that a try after the breast pump session today.

Been contracting a bunch the past half hour and getting some more plug-ish discharge, so I went ahead and packed the overnight bag for the girls and my hospital bag and the baby's is packed. Optimistic of me, I know

I'm such a nerd, but I can tell you that's the day of Bilbo and Frodo Baggin's birthday in Lord of the Rings. Good day to give birth

I think you look great, Taryl... I hope today is the day for you!

I hope today is it for you too!

Great job having bags packed...I don't have my girls or hubbies packed yet. Will the girls be going to Grandma's?

After some super intense contractions everything tapered off. Again. I really hate prodromal labor.

Melynda - the girls will be going off to Grandma's, depending mostly on the time of day. She has a few political engagements in the afternoon Thursday, for example, and my FIL is out of town on business until later that day, so a friend of mine would likely intercept them for us, but in general the plan is to have them stay over at the grandparents' until we are ready for them. We'll see how that works out.
