Congratulations, Mama, and welcome to the world, Noel! What a fitting middle name. Can't wait to hear all about it when you're ready. Hope you're enjoying your babymoon.

P.S. what kind of wine is that you got? I love a good sweet stick to your lips kind of wine once in a while.

Hello all! Katie, thanks for updating here, and thanks for all of the well wishes.
Krista, you're funny stalking me like you did! We had planned on using "Patience" as the middle name, but it takes on a whole new meaning now!
I was happy to enjoy my wine last night. I couldn't keep anything down during labor, even water (happened w/ DS too) so I opted to save it until after birth.

Stacey - the wine is called "Manischewitz" brand, Concord Grape flavor. It's a Jewish Kosher Wine. I got it at Walmart, it's in a smallish square bottle and was under $5. It's yum-my!

Mindie - I had actually scheduled a chiro appt for 11:45 the day she was born and was going to ask about the Webster technique, so the only thing that put me into labor was my body itself since it had been awhile since I had tried any kind of extra stuff.

So here are some details. I'm definitely working on a birth story but wanted to at least post some pictures first. Labor and delivery both went very smoothly and quickly with eight hours total from start to finish. Noel was born into the water and it was so perfect. Everything happened just we had hoped and prayed for it to. Worst part was that I tore pretty good (1st degree, but long) and had to have 10 or so stitches, so I'm recovering from that but it was totally worth it to get the birth I had! And best of all, we got to leave 7 hours after she was born.

    About an hour after birth

Absolutely beautiful pictures. I love her going-home picture and the one of your son gazing at his new little sister. How sweet. I am so happy you had a wonderful birth. Take it easy recovering from those stitches - ouch. Congrats again!!!

You look amazing!!! I am so glad you got to have the birth you wanted. I hope you heal quickly and enjoy having a little girl, it is pretty awesome! Isn't great to get to be at home so soon? I was so excited after my birth to be at home 8 hrs later. I look forward to your more detailed birth story.

I'm so glad to hear everything went smoothly and you had the birth you wanted. Congrats on your successful VBAC! Sorry about the tearing, though. I hope it heals quickly. Love the pictures! Noel is beautiful!
