Glad your appointment went so well, that is great! I'm curious what the adjustment was as well?
Let's see, I've read The Bradley Method by Susan McCutcheon, The Thinking Woman's Guide, Birthing From Within, and DH is reading The Birth Partner right now.
The adjustment my dr made to my birth plan had to do with AROM. I had put that I didn't want AROM at all. She asked us if we would consider AROM if the baby was in distress and they felt it was necessary to go to internal monitoring. We said that we would prefer not to have AROM, but if baby really was in distress we wouldn't say no. It was the only thing she asked us to compromise on. I also made sure she knew that we wouldn't consent to AROM for any other reason, to speed up labor, etc.
Sounds like a great appointment. The compromise doesn't sound too bad either.
for a great appointment and (((NEGATIVE GBS))) vibes

Hey Lexi --
glad you had a great appointment today. Any chance we might see the birth plan?
totally curious, funny even with a great birth, there are plenty of changes I want to make for the 2nd time around (AROM for example, I let them break it before i started pushing, kind of wish that I hadn't done that now...)
i'm totally stalking your lodge every day, hoping you have a new post (kind of pathetic, but you are the one person I kind of know...) he he...

I don't mind sharing my birth plan at all. Even though I already gave it to my dr. If anyone sees anything that maybe I want to rethink, please let me know. It's a pretty generic one, I got it off childbirth.org. I didn't want to make it too involved, but wanted to make my most impt wishes known.
Thanks for reading!
