Oh yes, it would be quite busy in the hospital. DH, 2 midwives, doctors, nurses etc. Understandable! However, I wouldn't have brought Fiona either way! lol! She's a turd. haha. She takes a bottle well now, so she's fine with Greg.

Are you getting excited for your baby? I know these last few weeks can be busy and thoughts of labour, 'what if's' and last minute tasks like nesting can take over your thoughts. Have you had much time to be totally giddy for the arrival of your lo? (I may be giddy enough for the both of us hahaha!)

Put me into that group! I love newborns! So squishy, so snuggable!!

Do you have everything ready for the newbie? Clothing ready? are you doing a nursery or co-sleeping?

I'm nervous right now mostly, the induction is scary. But with all the complications of this pregnancy I'm ready to meet him and am soooooo rediculously curious to see what he's going to look like.

All my CD's are washed and in the drawer ready for a cute little tushie to fill them, all the sleepers are washed. I just have to wash the bedding for the bassinet, unfortunately DH is dead set against co-sleeping, I love it when I get the chance to co sleep, I used to do it when I would go to visit my Mom in Ottawa. there really is barely enough room in the bed for me let alone a baby who should have ample space. DH is a total bed hog.

The thing I'm most excited for is nursing again, there's nothing sweeter than nursing a newborn, they're so appreciative and not as easily distracted. I just hope I'm as lucky as I was with Aidan, he nursed like a champ from the minute he was born. I was seriously depressed when he weaned himself at 15-16 months, I kept asking him everyday until about 18 months if he wanted nunnies LOL.

You sound very positive and ready. I am sory that you have to be induced, but it sounds like the right option for you. I really hope it works out for you.

Oh Allie - it's getting so close!

It sounds like you are ready to meet your little man though, I can't wait to hear your positive induction story

There's nothing like nursing a newborn (or an older child), those eyes looking up at you - oooh I am getting all clucky . It's such a special time that only a mum and bubba can share!

When is your next appointment? I'm getting ready to stalk....

oh I wanted to say...don't worry about getting it on with DH...you'd need like gallons of his stuff to help along labour. Instead, get out your ol 'neck massager' and have fun by yourself! Nothing like an 'o' to trigger contrax and irritate the cervix.

Wanted to wish you luck at your appointment tomorrow. It's so close to baby time!

I know you really wanted a home birth, but I bet it will still be great at the hospital. You're so prepared and knowledgeable, that will take you a long way. Do you have a doula? (sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it)

day two of mat leave, I'm so glad I was feeling super productive yesterday and got alot done because today I'm feeling like poop on a stick lol.

I have my appointment tomorrow at the hospital, and I'm guessing they're going to tell me whether baby boy is coming this week or the next. Kind of scary, I'd much rather be oblivious. I remember when my contrax started with DS it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, it was more of a relief, like this was finally it.

I've been having alot of headbutts to the cervix so I'm hoping the newbie is working his magic and getting things softened up down there.

as for Doulas, I have 2 midwives and a student midwife who will be there along with the OB, I'm going to have a full labour room. Had I been able to have a homebirth Jordan would be there to keep me sane lol, but the hospital will just be too hectic and i'll be tied to a bed with monitors and all that jazz.

oh i forgot to mention how lucky I am to have such awesome friends. Jordan, Emily, and Alison all made me some ready to cook meals, and brought the newbie some adorable sleepers, I was almost in tears, it was so darned sweet. I will always credit this website for the awesome friends I've made. Jord and Emily are friends that I should have met years ago, we went to the same highschool (well Em and I) we had the same aquaintances, but it took this site for our paths to cross.

ok i should get off my lazy butt and kid my kid to daycare so I can continue to sit on my lazy butt.
