Hrmm - I am not sure why that is showing up as one big paragraph. I am so lame with the computer sometimes.

That was a great story! You sure baked a big first baby!

I hope you have a shorter labor this time around, too.

    How are you feeling?

I love your story! And I really like that you're not afraid of big babies. It's not often when you meet someone who realizes that it's nothing to be freaking out over. It reassures me having big babies run in the family, and this being my first. I'll definitely be stalking you!!

    Congrats on your lodge!

    What a great birth story.

Where are you giving birth? I ask because a good friend of mine is one of the midwives at the Austin Area Birth Center.

The birthing center in Austin has a great reputation and I think it would be awesome to deliver there. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover enough of the expenses for me to deliver there.

I do love my doctor and she is behind me having natural childbirth 100%. I am so thankful that I have her at least. I don't think the hospital I am delivering at this time is very natural childbirth friendly.

I went on the hospital tour on a Sunday and there was only one lady in the whole labor and delivery area. The nurse giving the tour said "we like to schedule our babies Monday thru Friday 9-5" WTH???

My doctor and her practice just transferred to the hospital and she said the vibe I got was correct, but it was physician driven and some of the nurses were having to readjust their way fo doing things. She also said "I hate to say this but most of the doctor's are older men that don't like to work on weekends and evenings so they schedule inductions and if the lady has not had the baby by 5 they do a c-section so they can go home" Crazy huh?

OK enough about that non sense. I told DH I was staying home as long as I can stand it this time.

Wow. I'm so sorry that's the attitude people have in your area. I'm with you. Stay home as long as possible. At least your doctor doesn't see it that way!!

2 really cool things happened this week. My co-workers all took me out to lunch on Wednesday and they gave me a gift - a gift card to Banana Republic so mom could buy some non-maternity clothes!!!

Then today ladies from my church threw me a shower - I told them I did not need anything so instead of gifts they brought me diapers and homemade frozen meals!!

Anyway that was my excitement for this week. I am getting very eager for this little one to come.
I am anxiously waiting - knowing I will probably be late again
