Awe...thanks. Yeah...I'm not on here every day so I may have a hard time keeping up with this. I'm not even sure what to write about.
This is my second baby, but first NCB, and first time with a midwife. I love my midwife, and even if I have a difficult delivery, I would do this again in a heart beat. I'll be delivering at a free standing birthing center. Our local hospitals are NOT midwife friendly. My next appointment is Friday. I have to get the last round of tests done and I just found out today that my midwife won't be there...the on-call one will be. I guess it's good to meet her though.
I'm excited to have this baby. I'm most excited to progress without any "help". I was induced with my daughter and never started labor on my own, so I'm looking forward to seeing how different it will be this time around. I had an epidural with her, however it wore off during my 2 1/2 hours of pushing. I had severe pain in my hip, which I now think could have been helped if I would have been able to be up and moving.
I guess that's all about me right now, unless anyone has any questions. I'm not real certain how the birth lodges work. I guess I'll just post on it if I have something to say:-)
Yeah, the birth lodges arejust space you can use to keep us updated - how you feel, any vents you have, your appointments, and eventually your birth and postpartum. Keeps things tidy and together and easy for everyone to check.
I hope you get the birth you want this time, having a great midwife and a plan for birth are two HUGE steps to getting that. I can't wait to follow your lodge and get to know you better, I think you'll find having your own cheering section is VERY enjoyable, and there's LOTS of brains to pick on questions you may have - these ladies are a true compendium of knowledge to take advantage of!
