Absolutely...and today, she's been asking me for kisses, then saying Thank you when I give them. Awe...I wanna go wake her up and snuggle.

I don't have much to say today. I have my appointment tomorrow to get my last series of tests done. My mw won't be there, the back up is. I guess it's good to meet her "just in case". I'll be checked to see if I'm dilated. If I'm not, I don't think I'll have her check me every week. I was so discouraged last time because I wasn't dilating.

My friend who is due just a few days before me is being induced Monday if she doesn't go into labor before that. A bit of me is feeling jealous that she can see the end so near. Technically, it could be another 5 weeks for me. I'm just holding onto the fact that the baby will come "in due time" and I'm looking forward to it

My appointment yesterday wasn't great. My mw was out of town, so the back up was there. Ladies..I really did not like her! I do not want her to deliver my baby. She'll be there the next few days. I'm so afraid of going into labor this weekend! I'm trying to relax about it....but it's hard.

I also found out the baby has rotated into a posterior position...which is a bummer. I'm doing some exercises to help to encourage her to turn. She's head down, which is great, but this explains my back problems over the last few days. I know I'm in good hands when MY mw comes back. I would much rather deliver a posterior baby with her than my previous OB at a hospital...however the best thing would be if she turns. So...we're working on that.

anywho...I walked out a bit discouraged yesterday. Please send me "no labor" vibes for the next several days...thanks!

Sorry to hear about your backup, Michele. Here's hopin' it was just a fluke first impression.

Take it easy this weekend, for sure.

Good news...no baby this weekend, and my mw is back, so I don't have to worry about the back up now yay!

Bad news...my little girl (22 months) is sick and has thrown up 4 times today. Please Lord don't let me get the flu. That would be bad timing! So, I'm exhausted already today. She's down for a nap, I'm going to go rest.

Sending lots of "get well" vibes to DD, and lots of "stay healthy" vibes to you!!! I'm so glad you made it through the weekend, and are back in good hands.

I hope you don't get the flu and that your LO is feeling better soon.

Thanks...Nicole is better today, yay! Although, she remembers throwing up yesterday. I keep asking her if her belly hurts and she says no...then she looks at me and goes "blah" and sticks her tongue out like she's getting sick. It's funny. I can't believe how early their memories develop!

I've been having a lot of back pain, sciatica stuff. My mw really wants me to go to a chiropractor, but I'm scared. I've never been to one before. I just don't want to have a dependency on chiropractors. The only thing that is motivating is that she (my mw) said that it's really important for my spine and pelvis to be lined up for birth. If I'm out of line, it could make for a more difficult or longer labor, no on wants that now. Hmmm...maybe I'll call and see if she has any openings this week.

Yes, definitely get to a chiropractor!!! Being in good alignment can only help the birth process, while being out of alignment can really bung things up! It doesn't hurt at all, and you usually get a quick little massage along with it to loosen up your muscles first, and that's always a nice perk!

You mentioned earlier that you're nervous about posting photos since you'd had one "hijacked" in the past. A lot of photo editing software programs have a watermarking feature that allows you to put an identifying mark, such as your username, on them to prevent hijacking. I think you could probably find some freeware online, too.

Adding to the watermarking comment.. You can add text on pictures in Paint and it comes standard on any Windows operating system. It's really easy to do.

Had another mw appointment today. My midwife is back...YAY!!! She's the greatest. I shared some of my concerns with her about the backup and how I am very motivated to have the baby before she goes away again. She said she understood my concerns and I'm not the only one. She is activly looking for someone else...Maybe even by the time she leaves again. So, I felt better that I wasn't just being hormonal about that.

A few good and bad things:

    The good:
~ Baby is not posterior...she still on the right side, just as she always has been. This makes me feel better.
    ~ Negative on Strep B...so no antibiotics...yay!

    The not so good:
~ My iron levels are very low...one level is below the line which makes me "high risk". The other is just above the cut-off for "high risk". so...I'm taking a lot more iron now to try and help this. If my levels are still boarderline next week, she'll have to ask me to consult with her OB. She said the biggest concern is if I have a high amount of blood loss during delivery. I *may* need an IV ready to go in. I don't know all the technical terms. Point is...she said it's best I stay preggo another week. This actually takes pressure off of me to "feel like" i have to have this baby soon.
~ I never knew I was anemic...but it explains a lot. I wonder if I'm anemic even when I'm not pregnant. I would think chances are since my levels are so low...they were shocked.

Anyway....I think it was a good appointment because I'm happy she's back and I got a lot of concerns talked about. DH is worred about the iron thing...but I really think it'll be ok. I'll be super good about taking my supps.
