Still nothing to report. I've been crampy for the past couple days off and on, but I'm not putting too much thought into that. I had a wonderful Mother's Day, and DH and the girls got me my veg plants. Three types of tomato, red and green bell peppers, and a zucchini. I almost didn't want to do anything, but I knew I would regret it this summer when I had no tomatoes to eat! It's not raining right now, so I think I'll go out and get them planted! Hopefully my hips don't give me too much trouble, they've been really painful this week. Hopefully I can post something good later this week.
What a great mother's day...a gift that keeps on giving! Having a garden is so rewarding...I have to say, though, I'm impressed with you keeping it up this far along! DH has been stuck with ALL garden duty pretty much since I got pg. Does your garden have raised beds? Ours are sunken and the bending/stretching has been pretty impossible for me for a long time now.
Yeah for plants. I am jealous that you can plant yet. We are in another cold snap, so no planting for us yet.
I'm glad you had a good mother's day, and yay for plants! I would love a garden, but we don't really have space for veggies in the tiny backyard of our rental duplex...plus it's always in the shade back there.
I got a plant for mother's day too- a bougainvillea. Unfortunately I don't have high hopes for gardening in texas- we have the space but the soil is awful and the climate a bit more harsh for the types of things I like to grow. I loved it in the NW, you just spill seeds on the ground and voila, garden!
Still here! I'm so bad about updating my lodge. I had a nice weekend. My mom is here (got here last Tuesday), and she's been a great help. I finally finished planting/potting all my plants, got the front and back yard mostly cleaned, and the house is not too trashed. So now we are just waiting for V to make her appearance. I broke down at my last appt and got checked, and was 1cm. I've lost some plug since then, which of course means nothing, but still makes me happy. I've been contracting the past few days, but still no pattern to them, and not many contrations per day. I can feel my body getting ready, though, so maybe in the next couple days! I say Saturday, just because that's our busiest day this week. I think tomorrow night would be great, though, so I've been discussing this with V, hoping she'll help her Momma out.
If I make it long enough, my next appt is Wed.
Sounds like you are getting ready!
I love that your familygot you veggie plants for Mothers' Day. What a great gift!
Veronica Morgan was born on Saturday the 22nd at 7:40am. She was 9lb 8oz, 19.5". We just got home today, and I'll work on the birth story this week. I'll just say that this was the fastest labor I have ever had, and while I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't get to labor in the tub, I'll just rejoice in the fact that she wasn't born in the car!
